Would the Government lie to us?

Would they lie to us, or withold information we seeked to know? Short answer, i think undoubtably yes.

Thats part of why there are Governments in the first place, to save us from thinking and worrying about things too complex for us to handle individually. That can mean diplomatic and political aspects, but I assume this is also where all the UFO and paranormal ideas come from... if they are holding things back, what DONT we know, right?

Whose "the government"? Seems kind of broad.

Past governments have lied and deceived the people they represented. I would suspect that such things continue to happen.

Yes, I think that our Governments lie to us. They don't really care about their people, to them its about money and power.

They don't answer information that is confidential...or any higher cla_ssification forthat matter. They tell you that you either don't have the clearance...don't have the need to know...or both.;)
