Would the world be a better place if everybody could hear everybodies thoughts? It would solve the problems of liars and thiefs for sure and alot more.

Great, I guess I'll be the only one who agree with the thesis. Aren't we trying to improve our understanding and connecting the whole world as time goes? Aren't we trying to have a better communication with one another, expressing the feeling deep inside us? I think being able to hear everybody's thought will helping bring equality to our society. Of course some of you might not want that to happen, talk about the greed for superiority. I think most of you are being negative because fighting is all you guys have in mind.

Yes. We lie to ourselves and each other about what human nature really is - and, as far as I can tell, half of our problems ultimately stem from deception. Removing that couldn't be all bad.

I doubt it would really work as well as you seem to suggest. One of the fundamental aspects of psychological stability is having a certain amount of privacy in your own mind. Almost everyone nowadays communicate behind facades which have been constructed to hide weakness, and if you take those away and expose the potentially ugly shell beneath, then all you're going to do is cause people to be even more repelled from each other than they already are. I can easily imagine a world where people are afraid to leave their own houses in fear of having their minds exposed. Of course, there are the other fundamental problems it could cause in society. Say when people who's personalities clash would need to work together on a project or something, and are unable to get along with it because their true feelings are constantly on display. Furthermore, it could be potentially disastrous for people who have secrets to hide for various reasons. Also , how are people meant to play games in the same room if they cannot keep their tactics hidden (less major problem but I'm sure you see my point.) How is the education system meant to function when teachers cannot explain subjects without being constantly bombarded with cries of boredom from their students' minds? Anyway, what you're supposed to glean from this is that there is a good reason why people's minds are closed off from one another, and the alternative is the tenth circle of hell.

Nah, since everyone would be deserving of just as much of a kicking, nobody would have the energy and we'd just end up accepting that's how people are. Personally, I think that without that wall of frustrations, we'd be better off.

You can control your thoughts, just as much as you can control your action. For example, if I curse a lot in my mind, I can force myself to stop by reminding myself every time. Yes, some thoughts come instantly without volition, but those are built on habits of prior thinking.
