It's your kid in every conceivable sense of the word except the naturalistic sense. Basing whether or not you should accept a kid on genetics is an incredibly shallow view.
Shallow? It's human nature. I personally want a kid that has me and my wife's genetics and so do most people. Who are you to say that it's wrong to want so?No, it isn't human nature. Human nature is caring regardless. Humans have gone far beyond Darwinistic standards of what is good and okay; by your reasoning, racism is fine, genocide is fine, experimentation on humans is fine, so long as it's all about the right genetics. Humans (and human nature) are beyond that.
You can want your own children, but if you shun adopted children based on something as irrelevant as genetics, then it is shallow and morally reprehensible. Natural =/= right.
