Would you be willing to sacrifice yourself for your children or wife?

I was thinking about this earlier - that is, about a scenario in which the only way to assure my children's or wife's survival is to sacrifice myself. I don't know whether I'd be willing to do it or not because even though their my family, the prospect of death is too daunting. I just don't know. How about you?

This is similar to the question of whether to save one's wife or children. Obviously, you choose the wife. In this scenario, i would likely try to get to her first and then the kids if possible. Keep in mind that I would still like to live.
