My wifes family is Greek Orthodox but I never converted and they don't care and still like me. However, I live in the Mormon capital of the world and have seen so many guys convert to being Mormon so they could be with their Mormon girlfriend/wife. And there's some pretty good looking Mormon girls out there. But would you ever convert your faith or beliefs to be with someone that you were madly in love with?jt222_us
While I don't understand the relevance of that sentence, my answer is no. I believe what I believe and that wouldn't change for anything. Even love.
Nope. If you have to change you beliefs, then you never really believed in those beliefs to begin with.staindcoldlp
Exactly; and your parter would know that deep inside, you don't really believe in what you converted to, either.

What I mean is that Mormon girls are really nice and sincere and tend to be pretty cute. They are very easy to become attracted to and fall in love with, it's happened to me before. But then you have to believe in Joseph Smith's teachings and the Book of Mormon in order for them to go any further with you in the relationship.

Yeah that would be a big heartbreaker and ruins the love. Talk about a bummer :(Here is my opinion. You should never blindly follow your belief. Most people claim to be something (Christian, Muslim, Mormon etc) but when asked about what they actually believe, very few know. Therefore I say this, you should always be opened minded and KNOW WHAT YOU BELIEVE. If you know what you believe and understand what others believe, then this shouldn't even be a question as you should be confident with what you believe.
I hear too many people claim they are atheists. This is BS. They are too lazy to believe in something. If these Atheists would spend as much time understanding religions and the differences between the gods of each religion, we would have so much less "all gods from all religions are just the same" which is utter bull.
Sorry, small rant. Know your beliefs and you won't have any problem keeping them.

Ah I see... and wow. :o
No because if you change your beliefs for 1 person, then you shouldve never had those beliefs in the first place. Thankfully, my girlfriend and I have the same beliefs. No God :)Shade-Blade
And yet you capitalize His name. Interesting.

I capitalize His name whenever Im refering to Him because I have respect for other peoples beliefs so I capitalize to not offend anybody. Here is my opinion. Im an atheist and its not because im lazy, its because religion is completely illogical. If someone can prove to me there is a god, I will worship, but blindly following just because you are told to is lame, and people should have their own minds.
And on a second note, you said atheists should take time to learn of each religion and their god, well if religion A beleives in one god, and religion B beleives in another, one would have to be right and one would have to be wrong correct? there can only be one god is what these religions say, other then polytheistic religions. So whats to say your god is more realistic then someone elses, its all a big crock

im too much of a heathen for mormon girls as i am a man whore and i think the mormons are a bit out there.... but no i wouldnt change my beliefs, i would expect them to respect me enough not to try to change me eitherNo, No way, Never. I have too much respect for my religion to just throw it away for someone if she doesn't like that I stay with my religion thats too damn bad.
Nope. I am a Christian but I had a Muslim friend that I found attractive and I liked her a bit, but I hold strongly to my beliefs and I am sure she does the same so it would go nowhere b/c I would end up trying to convert her and she would to me. It's just awkward.SupraGTif you loved her you wouldnt try to change her. so you obviously just lusted after her

You're saying no God, but you're leaving the possibility for other gods like Zeus or something.[QUOTE="SupraGT"]Nope. I just say I admired her and I was hypothetically speaking if I were to go out with her.
