Would you date a Hooters girl (or similar waitress)?

Hooters waitresses and employees of similar establishments that boost their business with sex appeal often have a certain stigma attached to them when it comes to dating for many men/women.

So my question is.. Would you date one? When I say "date," I mean to pursue them exclusively. Feel free to discuss why or why not.

It's not like she's a prostitute or anything, she's just making an honest living as a waitress. Is being attractive enough to get a job at a place where waitresses are required to wear short shorts (not exposing or selling their bodies in any way, mind you) some sort of sin?

Well Hooters is not my cup of tea, but if I really connected with a girl and she was a waitress there, I wouldn't walk away from it. My preference is that she didn't work at a place like Hooters, but for the right connection it would be fine.dodgerblue13

Prostitution isn't a crime everywhere. It's just a job some places. Drug dealers are just trying to make a living man.. it doesn't say anything about them as a person.. Isn't that right? Do you think that because something is technically legal or illegal in a certain locale, that this makes it right or wrong?

Listen, I'm not saying that waitresses who are scantily clad and clearly hired for their looks and sex appeal are bad people. I'm just saying that it's foolish to say that their job doesn't say something about them. Maybe they really needed the money.. maybe they're a virgin. I don't know. But what it says is that they were willing to use their sex appeal on an everyday basis to make money. That's not somebody that I want to date. I'm not saying that there would never be an exception. As a rule, I don't want to date someone who has that job, because it says something about them. Not to mention that they are exposed to men hitting on them and openly checking them out in fairly scarce clothing on a daily basis. It's just a bad environment for someone who is looking for a serious relationship.
