Have you ever smelt a camels breath? f**k me I don't know what's going on down inside it to create such a foul stench but balls of jesus I wouldn't put any of that stuff inside my mouth.

Horse meat is not widely consumed because horses are very valuable animals that are mostly used for other things like races and the like. Since people have been using them in wars, horses have been considered "noble" animals. That's why.

That being said, for example, horse meat is readily available in France I believe.

It's also consumed in many Asian countries (like Japan) and in south America.

But common, American diet is already so limited, you don't even normally eat eels, squids and octopuses. Somehow I'm not surprised you don't eat horse :P
