Would you ever hit a girl?

I come close with my gf all the time but id never punch her in the face or anything.. it always just ends up as a shove or i grab her arm and squeeze it really hard and makes her cry sometimessiinn

I've hit girls in martial arts class, but if you mean out of anger...then I would have to say no unless one or more of the following:

1) She is threatening me with a potentially fatal weapon

2) Threatening one of my family members with potentially fatal weapon

3) Threatening an innocent with a potentially fatal weapon

Other than that, I dont think I would....

If the women is an adult, and she is hitting me i have no problem with punching her back. (im only 16) so what she is doing would be child abuse. But if it was a girl my age, i dont think i could ever hit her.

i probably would try to grab her wrists, or push her away or something.

Well technically, she isnt allowed to hit me because im not 18. Also she is an adult so she should know better. Its not that she would hurt me, it is that she is older and should have more sense not to fight me. However someone my age who is very angry is a different story.

I wouldn't just punch her, I'd probably overpower her and then choke her into submission.

She isn't going to hide behind her gender while being a *****, so I'll be DAMNED if I'm going to be the one who sits there and takes it.

I am not obligated by anything or anyone to show any form of restraint. Don't want to get your ass kicked? Don't start completely random fights for no reason with people bigger, stronger, and faster than you are. I don't challenge people twice my size to fights for no reason at all, and if I did, I'd deserve the extremely heavy beating I got during the fight.

I honestly can't say I wouldn't practice restraint, but to what limit, I don't know. I wouldn't tear her head off, but if you start a fight for no reason, you completely disown your right to safety.

Besides, she could have an icepick in her coat or something and take a liking to my intestinal tract, so I fail to see why I shouldn't practice immediate and extreme prejudice towards restraining and defeating my opponent.

I think that if someone hits me with malicious intent then they deserve to have the same thing applied to them. If she hit me I would most likely hit her back. I don't think that she would have a right to hit me and me be obliged to stay there and do nothing about it.

you did something to annoy her. Not something huge that disserves her hitting you constantly, but its not like shes coming at you for no reason at all.

I would hit her back. I never did understand why some people claim that it's wrong for guys to hit a girl, but that it's okay for a girl to hit guys? Besides, girls say that they want equal treatment, so the hitting back comes with it.

You should only hit a girl if she asked for it. Other than that I believe there's nothing wrong if it was an instant reaction to her action.

Seriously though, no. I would not. Restrain her maybe. Hold her arms so she couldn't punch or something. (not to forceful) You don't want things to get escalated even worse. That is when things happen that neither of you might have wanted.

If I was talking to a female and detected even the slightest tone of disrespect in her voice, I would whip out the baby powder

and slap her face til she couldnt stand anymore

On topic. If anyone, man or woman, assaults me physically either get ready to get punched in the face or beat me unconcious because one of us is about to get hurt. If she was a really small woman i might have pity and just pin her down, but that's just because i know i could do some serious damage to her.

Well, my dad was always real big on respect towards women. So I might have the urge to but I'd never let that come to fruition. Now if I guy hit me, I'd have no problem hitting him back.

I don't think I'd ever be able to bring myself to hit a girl. And I've got no idea who thought it up. I'm sure most women could take a hit fine, I'd just prefer not to find out on my own.

Cross my heart.:P I proved it in the "Post a picture NAO!" thread with a picture of myself. And I did actually hit my sister as a kid, got me in a whole lot of trouble. Probably another reason why it seems so wrong to me.

So it wasn't just me growing up :P. My parents kinda handled it differently though. They had one of those "we knew this would happen someday" attitudes, and they didn't really blame me. They knew what kind of girl my sister was, and that she absolutely tormented me without remorse.
