Its a house centipede. I believe I read once they actually sting you and might crawl inside you :? I was greeted by one on my pillow and its the size of a pencil!

I'm so glad the image didn't display. I hate bugs. And to answer the question no I wouldn't, if I know there's a bug in my room I don't sleep until it's dead.
they move so fast :? I hate em...I kill those all the time,I have yet to find one in my room though

My thoughts exactly.
I dont if its that kind but I know its a called a house centipede. They run hella fast and are almost hard to notice when they dont move. Two long pointy like fangs on top that stick out.Are you talking about these one
Because these are dangerous

UPDATE: I believe this is the specific one http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scutigera
I could never sleep in a room, even stay in a room knowing there is an insect in there.gun-runnerWhile I hate spiders, quite a few ladybugs (10 or so) have taken up residence in my room. They're small, they keep out of my way, they don't look gross, and they prey on other insects, so I've decided to let them stay.

Holy crap where do you live? :? I'd freak out and hit it with the mini fire extinguisher next to my desk :x
you know some animals can lay eggs inside you? Lets just hope that it didn't crawl insie you while you were sleeping, lay eggs, then crawled back out.
Your username is quite fitting then :Pdeffinitly no, ive seen a regular centipede at my grandmothers house, but if i woke up with one of those on my pillow i would move to a different state.

ugh, in my old house those things where everywhere. we killed like at least 3 a day, no lie. those things are friggin creepy looking. im so glad i havent seen one at the house im at now. i hate those things, plus they blend in alot and are fast as hell
I actually made peace with them and the spiders in my apartment. You see, we had cockroaches at one point so I decided to let the spiders and house centipedes flourish to help with the problem.
Funny thing is, haven't seen a single roach since November!!!!
