I don't mind. It's not like they'll be on the top floor. Plus they keep the spiders at bay.

[QUOTE="gun-runner"]I could never sleep in a room, even stay in a room knowing there is an insect in there.FunkWeasel
While I hate spiders, quite a few ladybugs (10 or so) have taken up residence in my room. They're small, they keep out of my way, they don't look gross, and they prey on other insects, so I've decided to let them stay.

kill them now before its too late!!! Also, for the ones asking, I live in NYC. I did a bit of reading on em and they kill roaches, spiders, all the other crap I hate. Damn, why they have to be so creepy looking  ? Also, YOUTUBE has videos of how fast they are.

Wikipedia has this great picture of that bug:

limpbizkit818

Meh, that's not so bad. It looks like an ant.

According to Wikipedia they are all over the United States going as far north as Canada. I live in Pennsylvania and in my over 17 years of living in this house I have never seen one.

I'm kinda immune to fear of bugs now every since my experiance in Laos when I was staying in a small village in the middle of the forest, I had just turned out the torch to go to bed and thought I saw something scuttle behind the curtains (no electricity at this time) so I turned my torch back on and crushed the thing with a book. It was the size of a freaking plate.

Yea, I've seen one here in Toronto but I've already been here for 5 years so I feel pretty safe only having sen one once in my ime here :) They're less common here.

I kill every single insect I find in my house. If I ever found one of those (thankfully I haven't) I wouldn't even hesitate to squash that.

Ha, wow. Coincidence?

I just found one of those crawling around my room the other day.

And a second one about 15 minutes ago.

To answer your question? No, probably not right after I saw one. But, I suppose if enough time had passed and it's been out of sight, I'd be able to sleep a lot better.

I see those quite regularly around my house. Just last week I saw one in the bathtub right before taking a shower, and I saved it so it wouldn't drown. :|
