I imagine everyone will say no. If you could get away with it with no one knowing, would you? err...I would hope everyone would say no.Two400
I'd still say no. Because even if I could get away with it with no one knowing, HOW SURE am I that I can get away with it with no one knowing?
Not good enough for me. I NEED someone to know about it.
More importantly, I NEED them to have the authority to give me permission to commit murder.
'And MOST importantly, I need to have leverage against them. I need to have something tying THEM to the murder. That way, if they ever try to dump the murder on me, I have definitive proof that they were the ones who ordered me to do it. Granted, I still might do some prison time. But depending on who hired me to commit the murder, I could potentially walk away scott free just by proving that they did it.
And MOST MOST imp[ortantly, THEY need to know that I have leverage against them. That way, they won't even think of pinning the murder on me. They KNOW that they'll be in a world of **** if they try to pin it on me, so they would never even attempt it.
But you say..."if that's the case, couldn't they just blame you for the murder and then kill you before you get a chance to prove who provided the orders?"
And that's a valid point. That's why I'd provide this proof to someone who I trust. I let my employers know that SOMEONE ELSE has this proof, which is to be released in the event of my untimely death. I don't reveal the identity of this person (people). So they can't just go and murder that person too. If all of my friends and acquaintances suddenly start getting murdered, the press is going to receive a very incriminating envelope.
Under these conditions, I WOULD commit murder for 10 million dollars. In fact, under these conditions, I would commit murder for far less money.
