i know its a strange question , it came out on my mind think that the porn industry is getting bigger everyday so its no surprise if one of us know one or more pornstars, also its worth knowing the peoples view on this matter . for me i would not marry a pornstar because i cant swallow the idea of her being with many many men before even if she is retired , also i think that if we have a child he will suffer because everyone knows his mom and telling him (hey i saw your mom yesterday having 0_0 with a stranger on the internet) it's just not cool.

so guys , i'm looking forward to hearing your opinions.

Sure I would, if I deem her worthy of my affection

Her choice of profession is her business, if I choose to be with her then I would accept that part of her as well

There's many criterias I would consider when picking out a potential long term romantic interest, her career choice is part of that consideration but being in the porn industry does not automatically disqualify her imo

I would if I felt it was real love and we had actual connection. There are current pornstars that do have Husbands/Wives even if they are both in the buisness.

People have to remember that porn is a job and if somone else cant accept that then thats not real love. As for the gross factor, pornstars do get regular check-ups and tests. They dont just go around having sex with every actor that comes along.

Not a current pornstar. If we get married she'd have to honor her husband and find another job. She could become a soap opera actress or something, same amount of acting involved

Yeah, but people have standards for what their partners are doing with their lives. It's sort of hard to pretent like you don't really love her/him if you're not willing to marry her/him despite the job. If you wanna look at it that way, then it's equally valid to say that he/she will quit if he/she loves you. If she doesn't quit doing porn, then she obviously doesn't love you. So, go ahead and dump her.

I don't see how this really has anything to do with love. Marriage isn't only about love. And if what someone does is a dealbreaker to you, then love isn't enough. Hell, I've known crack addicts and drug dealers who I've loved, but that doesn't mean I'm willing to accept their behavior. If they choose to keep selling drugs, then there comes a point where I simply can no longer associate with them.

Sort of the same thing here. No reason why I can't love a porn star. But we're not talking about love, we're talking about marriage. And supposedly it's an easy solution. All I have to do is ask her to stop doing porn. If she refuses, then she obviously considers her job to be more important than our love. And if she considers her job to be more important than our love, then why shouldn't I? Yeah, I may love her, but she's a porn star, and we've just justified putting one's job ahead of love.

This. However, if you mean in general a long term relationship, yes. I wouldn't care what her profession was, as long as she was a wonderful person who I loved. You are not always your job.

If she was a really nice person then yes. We would just have an open relationship which would be kinda awesome ;)

I remember i saw an interview with Madelyn Marie and she seemed so nice and sweet. Hypothetically if we were to meet and fall in love and get married I would be fine with her continuing her job as long as i knew she loved me.

Its porn. Most porn stars don't enjoy the sex: they enjoy the money. Its not like she is going out and sleeping with other guys behind your back: its her job. I wouldn't even let that count as an "open relationship" personally.

Drugs are diffrent. They are against the law and dangerous to a persons health. Drugs are and always will be bad behavior. Porn is a legitimate job so thats not exactly a good comparison but I understand what your saying.

Your right, if she refuses and you cant except what she does for a living then neither one of you really loved each other. Besides that though, you say marriage is not about love, well then why would you get married? If your marrying someone that you dont truly love your in it for the wrong reasons.

Generalization is generalization. Many gang members and serial killers have been extremely relegious. Porn stars are not banned from having faith because of their profession.

Im a bit shocked at how OT has responded to this thread.

Its porn. Most porn stars don't enjoy the sex: they enjoy the money. Its not like she is going out and sleeping with other guys behind your back: its her job. I wouldn't even let that count as an "open relationship" personally.

They like the job enought to not quit.

And if I ask her to quit and she says no, then she likes the job enough to keep it instead of marrying me.

Porn stars aren't sex slaves. They can quit whenever they want to. And something simply being "my job" doesn't mean I hate it. If I hate a job that much, I'll do something else.

But the bottom line is that she CHOSE a job having sex with multiple people. She refuses to quit her job having sex with multiple people, and tells me that I can't have sex with another woman. Sorry, but that's ****ed up. She chooses to have a job having sex with other people just as much as I'm responsible for choosing who to cheat on her with. You can't choose to have a job that requires you to have sex with other people, and then say "but I have to have sex with that dude, it's my job!" That's hypocritical and chicken****. If she is allowed to choose to have a job that requires her to have sex with other men, then I am allowed to have sex with my secretary. I made a deliberate choice to nail my secretary, just as my wife made a deliberate choice to stay in a job that requires her to have sex with random strangers.

So what, she should quit her well paying, secure job and work as a waitress because you dont want her banging other porn stars, many of whom are also married. It not like she loves the other people she is doing her job with. Do you know that half the men who do gay porn are straight or bi-sexual? Its a high paying job, and one that not everyone can do.

And they are not random strangers. They are, for lack of a better wordm actors who are screened and take care of themselves. its a buisness, and many people in that industry know each other as friends, colleges and co-workers.

If you banged your secratery, thats different. Thats not your job and thats not hers. Your wife doesn't know about it. You dont make money after you do it. The situation is entirley different.

What the hell? So it's ok to sleep around as long as you ask for money afterwards?

I don't even think is counts as "sleeping around"

Sleeping around is taken to mean one person in the group is "sleeping around behind your back". They are lieing to you, to your friends and family, and potentially in love with some other person while being with you, or in the very least getting their sexual kicks somewhere else.

A porn star is an actor or actress. They are doing it out in the open, with contracts, drug tests and with people they don't have any emotional attachment to. Its purely buisness. its not like they are messing around with a bunch of boyfiriends, laughing at you, and then getting a couple of twenties out of their wallets. Its a legit buisness.

Its porn. Most porn stars don't enjoy the sex: they enjoy the money. Its not like she is going out and sleeping with other guys behind your back: its her job. I wouldn't even let that count as an "open relationship" personally.

Oh, so it's not about the job, it's about her cushy lifestyle?

How is that much better? So it's not the sex that she chose over you, it's the nice apartments and luxury cars. Again, this works both ways. If it's somehow shallow for a person to reject another person because she does porn, then it's pretty equally ****ing shallow for a porn star to refuse someone else because then she might have to resort to waiting tables and give up her luxury apartment.

And my secretary isn't a random stranger either. If I consider my secretary to be a friend, does that make it okay to **** her? If I tell my wife that I'm ****ing my secretary, does that make it okay to **** her?

You have to make comprimises. What you are essentially saying is that she should quit her job because it makes you insecure and change her financial lifestyle so you can sleep better at night. How about "baby, only do one or two movies, and I'll help you get some schooling so you can get a good job."

No, its "you prosession is disgusting, an you need to quit being such a whore/pervert and quit, so I can feel better!"

And its only okay for you to bang your secretary if you are in an open relationship, or don't give a damn. But it is NOT the same thing as being a porn star. its not your job, and you doing it for different reasons than she is.

As long as she performs regular routine maintenance... and her... uh tools are clean, and un-contaminated i don't see why not. Throw in a decent personality with that, and some solid cooking skills and we've got ourselves a match! 8)
