It's not exactly just, but one would burn down churches in attempt to get rid of forced Christianity upon your country, diluting your culture and the nation's core beliefs.

I'm against forced conversions but just because there is a church down the street from you doesn't mean you have to convert...
I got in trouble once cause i had a pokemon game at church and they were saying i was filled with demons. Another time i spent the night at my friends house and i had Devil May Cry with me and i got kicked out cause the game "worshiped the devil". Those incidents did not stop me from playing the games though.
Well since there is no such thing as satan (or god), I'd be more likely to play it if it were 'satanic' because that dark and macabre stuff rocks (like Edgar Allen Poe).
Well - we have a rule in our house that any game rated Mature is not going to be played. When our son is old enough to make is own decisions, he will and decide for himself whether he wants to play them or not. As far as movies are concerned, the rule is rated R movies will not be watched.
A few pentagrams don't botherme (like doom 3 for example) but if it's outright supporting satan or killing angels (like inferno) then I won't play it. You gotta problem wit that?buldog300
This just stuck me. Castlevania and Devil May Cry would probably both be considered satanic. I mean you pretty much play as a devil in both games. And those are two amazing series so yeah, I backup my statement that I would still play satanic games.

See, this is the one thing I've never understood. There is Satanic imagery in Doom and many Christians are offended by it yet they fail to remember that you are FIGHTING the forces of Hell to SAVE humanity. If anything, I would have thought more Christians would actually enjoy the game seeing as how they could fight everything Hell had to offer except the Devil himself.
those are the VERY conservative people. if you ARE the evil being then no i wouldn't support it... but if it's your job to destroy it and it portrays God how He should be then yes. btw why in every religious horror movie the devil is just as or more powerfull than good?....
I would play a game even if i was Satan making the blood boil in infants and angels making them explode in a rain cloud of blood and regained health by ripping the limbs off innocent civilians.
Depends on the level of "Satanic-ness". If the Satanic nature of the game is just an overall theme of the game (like the Doom games or the previously mentioned Persona 3), then I have no problem with it.
It has not bothered me yet. I love DOOM 3, Condemned, Resident Evil, Silent Hill. I love the movie the Exorcist, Angle Heart, and lots of others. If they are no good then I just dont watch them.
If you feel something is Satanic, you probably don't think it is 'quality.' The thing with 'quality' is that it is 'qualitative.' I don't find things Satanic, so obviously I wouldn't be prevented from consuming entertainment that others feel is Satanic. But I may well think something a lot of people think of as being high quality is not high quality.
If it's Satanic, it'd probably be graphic/disturbing. Even if a game is disturbing without being Satanic, I won't play it.
But if it's a religious game, I probably wouldn't play it either. :lol:

Yes, i agree with you. Believe it or not, i was discouraged from playing Bioshock becuase of the disturbing-looking people and little girls. I'm more about strange science fiction, not huge snuff-fests. I think there is a line to disturbing imagery, and in Bioshock and Condemned, that line was crossed.

A devil and THE devil are two different things.Actaully, they're not different, christians are just made to think they are. HUmans have been creating devils and gods throughout history. And here's something that I'll probably be hit for on the forums, but devils ARE gods. Most, if not all, the devils that christianity has made, including Lucifer, were at one point gods in different cultures, Lucifer being the god of light.

Anyone who wouldnt play a game because of their religion is either mind numbingly stupid, or a fanatic. Either way its a good thing they dont play games.
What Satanists beleive and what Christians think they beleive is 2 very different things. These games with Pentagrams and stuff are just using image to sell. Those who trully worship the Devil see him as a good force. So basically I would play it since the entire Santanic fear thing is a matter of prospective.

I played it, loved it, and almost began sleeping with a night light. Almost. Just because something has "satanic" imagery in it, doesn't mean Christians won't play it. It may have something to do with the Spider People and limb ripping that occurs in it.
It depends. I have a limit on how disturbing/satanic I can handle my content; If it is nothing but "Oh! He had his head eaten! Kill it with bullets!" The no, I'm not going to play it.
