Same here. I'd do it. A bullet to the head is quick and painless death. Now if it was a 17% chance of getting burned to death or drowned, I wouldn't do it.
I'm gonna go ahead and say that I'm not even beyond gambling with my life. Hell, I could die every time I get in a car and drive, and I don't even have a million dollars to look forward to. But a 1 in 6 chance of dying is just way too high under any circumstances. I'd gamble with my life, but a 1 in 6 chance of dying isn't worth any amount of money. Hell, if there was a 1 in 6 chance of me dying the next time I drive, then I wouldn't drive either. Make it a 1 in 250 chance of dying, and then I'd consider it.

Yeah, but even the most dangerous jobs in the world generally don't have a 1 in 6 chance of you dying. Like I said, I'm not even opposed to the concept of gambling with my life. But if I'm gonna gamble with my life, then I need better odds than that. A one in six chance of dying is just unacceptable under any circumstances.
