Would you rather be a communist or a Nazi?

Nazi. Not to be a defender, but at least I wouldn't be indiscriminately killing off my own people with a tested-and-failed economic system.

I find it highly offensive that ANYONE would say they'd be a Nazi.

Every country makes mistakes and decisions that inevetibly lead to the death of its people. Communism is one of those things that is very difficult to practice in the real world, however at least., somewhere in there, it has the interests of fairness, equality, but Nazism sole goal is to turn people into absolute scum of the planet that belong in hell (if such a place exists).

I find it highly offensive that ANYONE would say they'd be a Nazi.

I believe that true communism has never really existed. It's utopian. Maybe it's achievable but not until humanity evolves so it will probably not be realized in our lifetime. The main difference between Nazis and communists is ideology. The Nazis are inherently hierarchial and authoritarian. Nazis believe in inequality while communists strive for equality for all people. Nazis worship the State while communists see the state as a lesser of two evils and seek the long-term dissipation of the State.

So you bet I'd much rather be a communist than a Nazi.

Neither,but if I have to choose one I will go with communist. And wolfy, while I would not define the nazi party the way digital exile did,he got one thing very right. Nazis are scum and the twisted beleifs they had are enough to condemn them,regardless of how you try to pretty it up. Its like David Duke and the Ku Klux Klan,it doesnt matter how you spin it,wheter you still wear robes or not, a ****bag is still a ****bag.

That is quite the topic title, to say the least. You might as well ask me if I wanted to be either a capitalist or a mass murderer. A communist is just a person who believes in communism, which isn't inherently bad. Now, Nazism, on the other hand, is vile and corrupt.

I'd be a communist. Communism is just a more intense form of socialism. Communists governments are usually run by dictators which is the reason why everyone sees them as evil but the overall idea is a good idea. People work for the betterment of society therefor improving the society as opposed to everyone working for themselves. In that kind of society the rich get richer while the poor stay poor and grow in numbers.

not to be pretentious, but if it wasn't for the whole jewish genocide thing, the nazis would have been pretty much good. they had great ideals, and actually meant for the welfare of the people. there's tons of books on this. i don't know why it's still such an offensive subject to someone who most likely wasn't even alive during the war.mistervengeance

That's kind of like saying "if it wasn't for the whole murder thing, killing your parents would be pretty much good because inheritance money is great".

To be a part of society, means that you provide for the society. Even if you're working for self-fulfillment, you unwittingly or, even, knowingly contribute to the society and the community; so, in the end, it matters not whether the system is communist or capitalist. However, it does matter on a leadership level, where the leaders and the government, whether Federal or State, decide how much of the profit shall be given to the workers. In a pure communist society, it's easy for the government to become corrupt, as can be seen from various examples including the Soviet Union, China in the 50s, and North Korea. In a pure capitalist society, which lasted a very, very short time in U.S. history, the companies make all the decisions. This, of course, resulted in major upheavel and, ultimately, social programs on the Federal level being instated to protect workers from corruption, sweatshops, child-labour, and monopolies.

Either way, there is not a capitalist society nor a communist society that has ever worked without being tampered with, which, ultimately, resulted in it being a combination of capitalism and communism.

And Nazism is flawed by the whole "killing everyone who isn't part of the master race" thing. If you have Nazism without the whole genetic superiority thing, that isn't exactly Nazism anymore; that's just plain old social democracy.

National Socialist. Sounds better than Nazi.
