Would you sell your pet(s) for $1,000,000 each?

So my mom just jokingly said to my dog "Ugh, if you make any further messes in our house, we're going to sell you." Obviously she was joking but then I got to thinking... There probably are people out there who would sell their pets for cash.

But for $1 million? What would you do?

I would/could never do it. Ever.

I've never really had a pet so I can't say, but I assume I would.

I recently lost my two dogs that lived with me for nearly 17 years. But in hindsight, I never could have sold them. They were truly my best friends, which are priceless.

Not a chance. I had a cat for 2 months until we found it a home. That cat was never my 'pet', but I kind of miss it. I couldn't imagine selling my dog.

Don't have any but I don't think I would. Pets are suppose to be family members and I can't imagine selling a family member.

For 1 million I would do so much more than sell my cat.

Nah it's just money a lot of money at that but still just money. I would rather have my two cats which I love then a bunch on money. Now my old pet poodle I used to have. I would have sold him in a heartbeat the nasty little thing.

But someone else owns him now thank god.

Yep, for a lot less too (but still more than anyone would ever pay). I don't hate my dog or cat, I just don't have a huge attachment to either. I wouldn't sell them because other people in my family would feel sad though, that's worth more.

Well, I have 11 pets, so certain ones no way would I consider selling. A couple, I'd think about it and realistically might do it. I'd have to really be sure first though, because doing something like that could stay with me for the rest of my life and bother me.

And then, there's the fact that I'll probably have a comfortable amount of money at some point in my life anyway, so it's not exactly like I'll be needing the $1 million to get through something later on, it'd be more like an impatient type of decision now.

I currently don't have any pets. But I probably wouldn't hesitate to sell it/them if I had one/multiple.

How do you know? Have you ever had $1 million?

I don't like to speak for other people, but here's how I look at it: Have I ever had a million dollars? No. Bit I have had pets, and I lost them. Any pets I have now, I'm going to lose them too. Losing pets is a reality of owning pets. If I can't deal with that, then I shouldn't be owning pets. Now, given that I WILL lose all of my pets eventually anyway, it's better if I get a million dollars out of it.

Hell, with that much money, you could buy more pets.
