[QUOTE="Omni-Slash"][QUOTE="IndigoSunrise"]But its okay to take said person away from their family thus causing their family grief? IndigoSunriseyou're arguing in circles...as I said..I didn't make the decision...THEY did when THEY committed said acts.... I don't think so. You say that a person is horrible in part because of the grief they caused people's families. But killing them also affects their family. How is that not wrong? Okay new question. Your own son killed 50+ people in a school shooting. You know that he is not an actual sociopath devoid of empathy and he will be safely isolated from the rest of the world for the rest of his life but will cost the state money. Thousands across the country call for his death and the general opinon of him is that he was a monster. But the only way for this to happen is for you to do it. A prison guard hands you a pistol. Would you do it? HE KILLED 50 PEOPLE! How could that person deserve to live after taking so many irreplaceable lives? You logic is flawed on so many levels because of your unreasonable "no death penalty" argument. Fact is that WE WOULD NOT BE THE EXECUTIONER, and if we were, than it would be our choice to be so and we would do our jobs. if someone kills anyone, as omni said, they themselves pretty much lose some of the rights that they had before because they infringed on someone elses rights. But 50 deaths???? come on, you cant be serious, you would rather reward this person with 3 meals a day, and shelter over his head, rather than taking his life for the obvious evil he has done? Blood ties cant even make it possible to forgive that person for commiting such a crime. If you want to argue the death penalty, please do it right, dont make up circumstances.
