[QUOTE="DmadFearmonger"]think of it this way put F :D Flawless victory :DThat's one thing I do like about it :DLike, instead of her changing her sirname to yours would you change yours to hers?
I would, my name's awful. I mean, who the hell has the sirname "Lawless"?

[QUOTE="Baconbits2004"]Liam Lawless is actually a pretty neat name, btw. O.oDmadFearmongerY'reckon?
I do. It's got dem double L's, and lawless makes you sound like an outlaw.
Also, as someone else mentioned Xena.

If that were my name then I'd love to keep my sirname :D
[QUOTE="Ace6301"]With my last name? Please, I'll practically be begging her to allow me to take it.tenaka2
Allcock?
Okay it's not THAT bad. It's just a weird last name (for a Canadian of fully European descent). There's a football player and a character from Yotsuba who have the same name and that's pretty much it.[QUOTE="tenaka2"][QUOTE="Ace6301"]With my last name? Yea, double L brotha. Think of LL Cool J, talented 80's rapper. Jesse James Lawless would sound awesome too, your last name is way better than mine.
I told my bf that I doubt I'll ever get married but if I do I want to keep my name and he said he hates his surname and would take mine.tofu-lion91*Cracks whip*
Right now I'm not sold on the idea at all, but it's obviously something to discuss anyway so I don't expect to have an answer right now - not that I expect to ever have that discussion anyway. =[

:D Oh yes lol
Ha ha ha ha...I can't believe this is a real question. I don't care whose name a married person takes, but if this is the kind of stink you're thinking about from now until you get married, take my advice: DON'T DO IT!. Lol.
Also, if you don't like the name Lawless, the you are effing crazy. It literally means WITHOUT LAW! That's like a damn renegade name right there. Go bust some heads. Do whatever.
"Lawless"DmadFearmongerOh my god! Why would you get rid of that? You could be the most awesome bad ass cop/justice do-er ever

Mr. Tofulion?
His real name must really really suck, his name is 'Suck' isn't it?
Mr. Tofulion?Ah funny :P It's Jackson which I don't think is a bad name at all :? And I'm not just saying I won't take a guy's name to be a big raging feminist, I've already changed my surname once and it's taken years to inform everyone (bank, work etc) and I still get post through with my old name. Not going through that faffing about again!!His real name must really really suck, his name is 'Suck' isn't it?

Jackson is a fine name, unless you have 5 kids.
I have mine, she has hers. Whatever works.
But dang I am LOL at the 'she takes mine or we don't get married attitude'. How deliciously quaint that is. Haha. Enjoy being single, cause if that is allit takes to keep you from the love of your life you should never ever get married anyway.
But it was just by chance you were given that last name, so why does it mean anything to you?Probably not, but I wouldn't ask her to take mine either. I might consider having both of us take each other's name and hyphenate.

There are plenty of women who will gladly take the last name of their husband. Just because you have a stingy requirement does not mean you will be doomed to singleness.I have mine, she has hers. Whatever works.

I think you missed my point. Yes there are lots of women that will take the man's lastname and therefore that won't be a problem. You may not be doomed to singleness.
But my point is that those people probablyshouldn't get married to anyone. Marriage has many stresses and compromise is essential. If you are so adamant as to not marry someone simply because of the lastname issue then it does not bode well for any marriage. That was my point.
