Sup OT lol, would you ever wear thrift store clothing or no? I used to not like it but I recently found quite a nice jacket and some really nice khakis in one, so now I quite like them. I don't see anything wrong with them i mean if the price is right and the quality is decent why not lol. What about you guys?

This question is basically asking, "Would you like your clothing to cost a tenth of what it would elsewhere?"

My answer is obviously yes. :P

when I was in high school it was actually very fashionable to wear goodwill shirts from like weird events or anything like that you could find. People would show off their thrift store finds all the time.

I buy the majority of my clothing at thrift stores. I buy all my underthings new, but that's about it. I'm so rough on clothes, and I love vintage (not "vintage inspired uber trendy crap") so buying them used is the best thing for me. I have probably 500 pieces of clothing, and I've paid less than $200 for all of it, so I don't feel horrible if I rip something or I decide I hate it a few months later. I've found everything from R&R jeans to chanel in thrift stores, I find better quality secondhand than I ever would at a mall, and pay next to nothing for it too.

I would. I used to wear more, but thrift store prices have gone up. A $2 pair of pants is a pretty good deal, but if they want $7, forget it, I can get a new pair for $15 at Walmart.

Also, my dad lost 80 or 90 pounds last year, and as he went from being a little bit bigger than me, to being much smaller than me, he gave me a lot of shirts.

I have bought some work clothes at a thrift store in the past. It's better than tearing up new clothes for work.

Nah charity shops I think. I can't imagine finding anything I'd want to wear in British Heart foundation unless I wanted to dress up as an old lady.

Of course. Instead of buying a shirt at, let's say Target for $40.00, I can buy a shirt at a thrift store for $4.00.

I really doubt I could find the clothes I like to wear at a thrift store. I wouldn't be opposed to it if I didn't have the money though.

I can see where people are coming from with saving money and all. I just don't buy my clothes there unless there is something particular I am looking for. I know quite a few people who do shop at some but seeing how it's some kind of social negative, they never mention it to many people.

thats weird. It was complete opposite around me. All the popular kids wore goodwill stuff. Their families could easily afford nice new stuff but it was cool to have weird 2nd hand finds.

I guess some areas are different. People here would think you don't have that much money to your name. Well, it doesn't help that the clothes some people just bought look like they have been worn like 50 times already.

Not shoes or socks or something stupid like that but you can get nice dress clothes that have probably only been worn once for real cheap so why not?

I donated some 30 t-shirts to a thrift store as I no longer fit into them. Some were 10 or more years old and still in great shape. I miss my Stomp t-shirt.

I browse their stuff, rarely do I find anything. But if there's something I would buy in a regular store on the shelf in good shape, sure, why not.

I don't now but I've thought about just going and spend 50$ at a thrift store sometime. My wardrobe would be packed for a year lol. Aside from the obvious underwear rule, and various stains and rips, I wouldn't have a problem with it. It's just not the first place that comes to mind when I think of clothes.

I wear them all the time. They're just clothes.

I mean, I like nice clothes, but I'm at home so much that most of my clothes only need to be functional and not offensively ugly. You can find nice enough things at a thrift store.

I've never bothered. I imagine you can find something of value that would be worth wearing though.
