I watched this film around 2 months ago with my girlfrien and it made me cry. :'[ (in a good way)
A great movie. :]
[QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]6/10, Eastwood was good but just about everything else was bad, especially the acting.chessmaster1989
I will admit I did nearly laugh when Clint locked Tao in the basement and Tao was like 'NOOOOOOO WTF WTF WTF NOOOOOO WTF WTF!!!!' :P
i DID laugh. such a bad actor it was almost embarrassing.Clint Eastwood proves that he can out-badass himself at 78. It's a great movie and I hope to buy it sometime.
Gran Torino was a near perfect film and I bought it the first day it came out. Though not everyone here agrees with me.
Can you please explain how it was near perfect? The acting alone makes it FAR from being near perfect.Gran Torino was a near perfect film and I bought it the first day it came out. Though not everyone here agrees with me.

The acting was the only good part..... Jazz_FanI thought everyone except the guy who played Thao acted well.

[QUOTE="Jazz_Fan"]The acting was the only good part..... MushroomWigI thought everyone except the guy who played Thao acted well. All of the characters expect for Clint and the Barber were horrible as Robbie stated the scene where the girl trash talk the "Gangsters" was horrible plus the Asian gang. not to mention its cliche and contrived storyline. Though I did find it enjoyable just to Clint again....

I suggest you both read this people. different strokes for different folks.
It was great, but I saw JCVD at about the same time and that movie blew Gran Torino out of the water in my opinion.

I'll be the first to admit the acting was bad but the film is still great.[QUOTE="chessmaster1989"][QUOTE="SaintLeonidas"]6/10, Eastwood was good but just about everything else was bad, especially the acting.pygmahia5

I'm going to pick up Gran Torino on blu ray once I actually get a blu ray player. :P
Although the first movie I get and watch on blu ray will have to be Unforgiven. :D
Well, i loved everything except the acting...which was down right horrible. Remember when Walt locked Toad in the basement and he was like screaming to get out? Cringe-worthy. Clint still kicked ass at usual though. AAllxxjjnnThe person in your icon gave the best performance of this year. I know that's not saying much.. :)

So you like HORRIBLE acting? Im just saying people shouldnt call the film "near perfect" when it clearly has a lot of flaws.[QUOTE="AAllxxjjnn"]Well, i loved everything except the acting...which was down right horrible. I can't imagine what he's going to do with a higher budget. He has so much potential.

Bad acting doesn't bother me. They were all believable characters, and that what draws me in.
