I'm not sure how you got there. I thought you were saying that blacks shouldn't be hired because statistically they are failures.

Probably, but maybe not. You've established a correlation, and there's quite likely a certain amount of causality going on there. However, a black man failing to find employment might not be DIRECTLY related to him dropping out. If he hadn't dropped out, the employer still might not have hired him for whatever reason (one possible reason....maybe most employers are simply racist against blacks).

Now, I'm not saying that the alternative possibilities are even likely. What I'm saying is that your DATA doesn't lead to your CONCLUSIONS. It certainly MIGHT be the case that blacks are simply less motivated, but that's not evident in the data that you provided. You aren't just citing facts, you're interpretting what those facts MEAN. And it's not at all uncommon for facts to be selevtively interpretted in such a way as to advance a particular agenda (one which certainly can be totally racist).

The sad thing about racism is that even if you extinguish it people will still find stupid reasons to hate one another, it's part of the human condition, in other words "haters gonna hate".

I'm saying that Statistically, Blacks drop out more than whites. What kind of person Drops out? Would you want to employ a drop out? or someone who can actually graduate? Secondly, i find it funny you'd prefer to assume that everyone's just a racist, and that's why employers aren't hiring as many blacks as whites.Nibroc420

I'm not interested in discussing whether or not blacks are motivated, or why unemployment is so high among blacks. That's beyond the scope of this argument. What I'm saying is that you're injecting your personal assumptions into the data. You've cited facts, but those facts alone are not sufficient to lead to the conclusions that you are making.

And while I am absolutely NOT stating that you're a racist, that's exactly what a racist (or a sexist/etc) will often do in order to support their utterly WRONG ideas about a given race.

If we were all the same color, people would just find something else tohate about each other.

Unfortunately this is in our nature as humans.

If that's the case, then ANYONE can say that, from Adolf Hitler to the Dalai Lama. You believe what you believe, and that's that. But if you're trying to convince OTHER people (which is probably the primary reason for throwing facts at them), then it really doesn't matter if the facts are good enough for you. You aren't trying to convince YOURSELF, you're trying to convince THEM. And alternatively if all you're trying to do is justify your beliefs to yourself, then it's sort of pointless presenting facts in the first place.

The african population thrived based on physical traits like athleticism. Which was only compounded by slavery, where the strongest west africans were bred.
