Wow the rules of Satanism.. I used to be scared of these guys?

1. Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
2. Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
3. When in another's lair, show them respect or else do not go there.
4. If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat them cruelly and without mercy.
5. Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
6. Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and they cry out to be relieved.
7. Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.

Yeah. The rules of satanism are much different that people think they are. It's not all the weird rituals/demon worshiping that most people think it is. Some of these are actually decent rules to live by. Sounds almost... peaceful except for number 11and number 4.

EDIT: Also probably true about how people interpret/act out these rules.

I find people who practice "California Satanism" are mostly rebellious teens trying to piss off their parents. They are not true Satan worshipers.

Satanism is a "common sense" lifestyIe revolving around human nature. Most of the people in this thread say they share at least one or two of those beliefs, and that was the whole purpose of the "religion." They don't believe in Satan, or worship him either (LaVeyan Satanists).

It's vastly misunderstood. The whole idea is to be true to yourself and do what benefits you the most, whether that is helping someone for personal favors later, or perhaps for a better reputation, whatever. There are also sins in Satanism. Stupidity and Pretentiousness are the top two. Retaliation is glorified as well (hence the ridiculous "destroy them" line). Most Satanists are nice people that when attacked (verbally, physically) often strike back twice as hard.

People often fear what they don't understand.

It's very different from the ten commandments. The biggest difference is that while a lot of the 10 commandments harps on how to properly worship Yahweh, none of the 11 rules of Satanism have anything to do with worship. Furthermore, you'll also notice that rules against envy and adultery are missing in the Satanist rules. Both have rules against stealing. Both have rules against killing. There are some very important differences with the killing rules though. In the 10 commandments murdering another person is strictly forbidden. In Satanism, only murder commited against children and animals is forbidden. When it comes to adults you're allowed to kill under a few different circumstances. Namely, if someone wrongs you or pisses you off, they're open targets.

Rule 8 would systematically wipe out the majority of youtube comments. Hail Satan!!!!!!!pis3rch

Other than that the philosophy is alright by me, and I follow some of it, but I got my own set of rules and morals/ideals of my own.

For me, Satanism is more about being yourself, strong and independent nature.

Objectively speaking, Satanism has done far less harm to humanity than Christianity has done.

i saw on some channel, maybe it was history, discovery or natgeo but they were interviewing a satanist (or i think he was) and he mentioned these rules and also said that they worship satan as the first rebel or something like that... not cause he's evil.bionicle_lover
