So many kids want to move to Japan and be "One with the people" because they somehow think that simply because they like Asian girls and anime that they were "meant to be asian" Little do they know that a lot Japan is a very closed off soceity to foreigners, they would get shunned a lot for trying to live their culture.

I hate those people so much!!!!!!!!!!!

I currently am really close to getting a degree in computer science, and i do plan on working along those lines. and YES i understand that it will not be nearly as fun as playing an actual game. not only that, but i will be working on that ONE game. no time to play anything else. but yea your friend will have to realize it is hard as hell.

Game testing is really boring if you do it for too long, it's ok part-time though. All they do is test a particular part of the game for ages on end to find a glitch or something

I remember reading an article a long time ago in PCZONE that was about game testing. They made it sound so boring and monotonous that I seriously don't even contemplate game testing. Heck I've had experience on the programming side and that is hardly fun either.

Yep, that's true. My older brother finished his degree in Computer Science and once wanted to become a games designer/programmer.... until he noticed what more was required :o There is a LOT of competition in the industry.
