WW3 Starts This Weekend

Yup WW3 has a very good chance of starting this weekend.

North Korea is going to spend into space an "experimental communications satellite". Japan and the US are worried tht they might be testing long range ballistic missles.

Maybe a war, but not a world war. A satellite isn't important enough for all the worlds most powerful countries to get involved, classifying it as a world war. And World Wars have to have Germany as the bad guys! :PHead_of_games

It could happen, but I doubt that N.Korea would be stupid enough to attack tht U.S. firing one ballistic missile at us is like firing a BB gun at a tank. no matter how hard they try to hurt us, they are still gonna get annhililated, practically glassed,by our nukes and japan's military.

Though Japan and the United States have interceptors in place for the launch, the Americans have stated they have no plan to shoot down the satelite unless it takes a hostile course (say, towards Hawaii), and Japan doesn't plan to do anything unless debris starts falling over its territory.

No, that would never start WW3. The US will shoot down the missile, and that is the end of it. If it isn't there will be a small war where the US, NK, Japan, and Possibly China invade, and it is finished really fast (the war, not the aftermath stuff). North Korea doesn't have enough allies (none at all) to make this into a World War.

I don't understand why everyones making a big deal out of this. Many countries have launched satalites into space before and the missiles used for this are always similar to ballistic missiles. The only difference with North Korea is that they are 40 years behind the curve.

North Korea wont do anything to the U.S or Japan if they did there would be a whole list of countries with Nukes ready to retaliate Russia China UK just to name a few trust me if North Korea fire a missile at any nation it will be the last thing they ever do .

It's not that much of a difference. Both countries have less than 5000 operational nukes, almost the same amount of strategic ones. Hopefully there'll be a START III or something.

First thing I thought when I saw this topic.

The amount of people saying "if they attack the U.S. we'll just nuke 'em into oblivion." Have you not stopped to think about the cost of human life?North Korean citizens are not evil creatures that need to be destroyed. Also, North Korea could still kill hundreds of thousands ofAmericans (and more importantly Australians)if a missle got through and hit a major city.
