Just a question for all you folks, do you celebrate Christmas ?

We celebrate it for the PRESENTS Ofcourse!. On more of a serious note I enjoy this Holiday as well as ThanksGiving because it brings families together and helps us appreciate life. ( in my opinion)Never have since I was raised in a religion that doesn't celebrate it. I've always questioned why people celebrate it since Jesus' birthday is not December 25th.

That's actually probably partially correct. Though I think the date was originally chosen to interfere with the solstice celebrations, it was probably never moved in order to keep it from interefering with other money-making holidays, once it became a money-making holiday of course.

Well just change that we to I :) because I was really speaking for myself LOL. I'm sure many people have different reasons for Celebrating Christmas including your statement of it becoming a money-making holidaySome pagan tradition was that December 25th was a 'festival of lights'. Since to Christians Jesus is 'the light of the world' we feel it's proper to celebrate something like that.Never have since I was raised in a religion that doesn't celebrate it. Yes but do we need a specific day to do that? Everyone should do that everyday. Christmas is supposed to be about Jesus' birth, not getting presents, visiting Santa Clause, or decorating a tree. Besides that, the Bible never gives the day Jesus was born nor does Jesus ever command to celebrate his birth.
Of course, that's only if you look at it from a religious point of view. You don't have to be religious to join in on the festivities, although again Christmas is supposed to be about Jesus Christ.
Yes but do we need a specific day to do that? Everyone should do that everyday. dog64Because there's something called work? :P

But you can appreciate life at work :P
Work will beat you down until you are but a shell....Enjoy!:PI absolutely celebrate Christmas. It's the celebration of the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
And I despise all this nonsense about "Happy Holidays"and "Holiday Tree" and stuff like that.

I agree. IF it's Christmas related, why not call it a CHRISTMAS Tree.
