I have always thought that the "majority of age" being set at 18 is completely arbitrary; there's not really much of a difference (if any) between a 17 and 18 year old, or an 18 and 19 year old.

If we're going by maturity, there's not really a whole lot of difference even between a 16 and a 19 year old, and that's not even taking into account how subjective something like "maturity" is, or the fact that some 15 year olds are more "mature" than some 21 year olds; some people just never seem to "grow up", maturity is all over the place.

If we're going by the ability to have sex (which is one of the restrictions that are lifted when one turns 18 ), some kids as young as 12 are perfectly capable of having sex, and kids seem to be hitting puberty younger and younger every time. Also regarding sex, I find it ridiculous that a 19 year old "adult" is not allowed to have sex with a 17 year old "minor", even though the age gap is only 2 years and they are both still teenagers.

I think majority of age should either be lowered to 16 or moved up to 21, just like the drinking age, because right now it just doesn't make any sense to me whatsoever...

Not sure if I agree with you. Just because someone is 15 years older doesn't necesarily mean they have 15 more years of actual "life experiences". I know people 20 years older than me who aren't interested in any more than getting drunk and getting laid. And whose last 20 years of life experiences has basically amounted to 20 years of getting drunk and getting laid.
