Considering I sleep with this right by my bed, I think I will be able to put a few thugs down with little to no effort. Just hope theres enough light that I don't put a cap in my dogs that will likely be freaking out on them in the mean time! :lol:

It will just be a good excuse for me to test this sucker out in a live-fire situation! :P

The way I figure, if you ever were in a situation where you are being robbed, you only have seconds to react. Keep that sucker loaded and ready to fire at a moments notice. Thus I keep the clip in the gun, not chambered so it only takes a second to get it ready to roll. Better safe than sorry!

BTW, I don't have children so I don't have to worry about little urchins finding my weapons.

Oh I've fired a few thousand rounds through this gun already. I was saying live-fire situation as in someone is gonna kill my ass if I don't put some holes in them type situation. I doubt my neighbors would dig me firing a .40 up in the air at night without a pretty decent reason. I'll just take it out into the woods like I usually do and bring some targets of various sorts for practice! :P

I have a .45 handgun with a loaded mag in the drawer next to my bed. 2 minutes is more then enough time to grab it, load the mag, turn off the saftey and aim at the door entry.
