i was actually thinking of captain palnet when i read the titleI'd guess a mass extinction would be the only way to slowly revive the planet, unless we can somehow eradicate all the "bad gas," or move it somewhere else lol.
It's kind of like what Agent Smith said during the movie the Matrix. I think he said humans are unlike other species, that we move to a new area, multiply, and consume the available resources on the planet. He said we were like a disease. That's incorrect. Other species do that as well, especially if there are no natural predators.
