Strongest one here confirmed? 50lb dumbell bicep curls each arm 5 reps. Anyone close to that?
Blazerdt47
I'm working with 60s currently, 7-10 reps w/ good form. I'm not really that strong, just good at curls and a few other lifts for some reason.

Nice. I'm doing compound workouts recently. I'm going to see how well it works out. Glad to see fellow lifters in OT. :D

I'm serious. What's the problem?
Come at me broPhysically speaking, how strong are you? I'm asking because I feel like I could snap any male in my school in two... Are men getting weaker?

I am no where near big lol. I'm only 185lbs 6ft. I have a good bit of muscle but I am still gaining. I'm around 11/12% body fat right now.
35lbs here, I'd die if you added another 15.Strongest one here confirmed? 50lb dumbell bicep curls each arm 5 reps. Anyone close to that?

Edit- You sound like me body wise, 185, 6ft. Cut. no abs but nice triceps and deltoids and chest.

Yikes, you guys must be insanely buff or fit. I am a fairly fit guy, 5'10, 160 with 18% body fat. I have trouble doing 3 sets of 40lb 6-8 reps each with good form. By the second set, my arm feels like giving up, sometimes i switch to 35's.[QUOTE="Blazerdt47"]

I'm at 50s 3x3. I start 25 1x10, the 40 3x7, 45 3x5. I superset with overhead tricep extensions, then go do other exercises.i'm stronger than the average person for my age/weight. i used to work out, then i kinda got out of it for awhile, but i'm trying to get back into a routine.
I am strong(6'0 197lbs with low body fat) and can curl more than you for more reps but I must let you know that it's pretty lame to go around telling people how much you can curl and then asking if anyone is close to that.Strongest one here confirmed? 50lb dumbell bicep curls each arm 5 reps. eh, im gonna be honest and say that i think im an average strength. i love how people say "i can bench this amount of weight" What about deadlift? squat? pull ups? (and i dont mean chin ups) /rant. pygmahia5I agree, I'm not strong at all at 165lbs bw I squat 160lbs 5x5 and deadlift 205lbs 1x5. My bench press is pretty bad, my right shoulder kept giving me problems in both that and the standing press. I'm happy to say though I finally got the form down on the standing press and did 85lbs for 5x5.
I wanted to hit 225lbs on the squat and 275lbs on the deadlift before this years end...deadlift I think I'll get, but I have to lay off bent leg exercises and build up my hamstrings for a while.
Don't presume your superman based on your school. You sound like someone who is really arrogant. I think I'm quite average in terms of weights, probably pretty weak compared to serious fitness people/liftersPhysically speaking, how strong are you? Not only that, but curls are hardly any indication of real strength :P. Squats, deadlifts, cleans, bench, military press... let's get to the real workouts.[QUOTE="Blazerdt47"]

I do a 3 day split for my weights plus 4 days dedicated to boxing/grappling and cardio.
not nearly as strong as I would like to be [QUOTE="Fightingfan"]I can bench my weight plus 100lbs. One handed push ups with 100lb weight on back no problem.rawsavonthat tells us 'strong for your weight' but not necessarily 'strength overall' (like it seems TC was asking) Not sure if I quite understand the difference, but wouldn't being "strong for my weight" mean my strength overall is higher percentage wise compared to someone who can bench their weight but is 100lbs heavier then me?
Example. I'm 185lbs, I can bench 285(5 reps).
Someone else is 285, they can bench 285(5 times)
I'm much weaker than most normal people. Most normal people can drive long distances to work and can work 10 to 11 hours every day. I can't do all those things which means I'm much weaker.

one would be a % of your size
-smaller guys have an advantage due to the way bodies are constructed, your strength does not increase in a manner equivalent to size gains
-this is why smaller guys can do more full body reps on average (things like pullups, dips, pushups, etc)
-smaller guys are generally better able to lift a higher % of their own body weight
the other would be overall strength...total weight lifted (larger guys have the advantage)
-bigger guys are generally more likely to lift the most weight the most amount of times
In your example, you guys have equal overall strength, but you can lift a higher % of your weight
TC did not ask who can lift the most for their size (%). He asked who can lift the most
it's cause you're a girl :PI don't think I'm that strong, really - I'm easily overpowered.

I hope it goes well for you guys and you get to date her! :)
I have adequate strength. I believe in a well rounded approach. The best athletes in the world aren't necessarily the strongest. Unless they are compeating in olympic style, or power lifting. The best men, fighters, and athletes are balanced and highly proficent in numerous physical attributes.

lol are you me?! im almost 170 and yea my bp sucks. 80 kilos almost 6 times. yea my deadlift is a lot more than my squat, like yours. it seems to me that diet is the most important thing. last week i didn't eat as much as i should have and im payin for it this week lol.Comparing how much you can lift compared to others is the road to failure. I lift weights and plan to until I die to keep healthy, clear my mind and for extra energy, not to satisfy my ego.
