Yes you're absolutely right.Look different beers for different situations,cheap party with friends a cold natty tastes fine. Feel like spending some money? I'll buy some awesome Gonzo ImperialPorter from the flying dog brewery. I like corona, i like mickey's, i like moose drool, i like red stripe, i like heineken, and I also like 1 dollar 24 oz cans of bud ice.
YeahYes
Besides the Imperial Porter, I would pass on all of those if offered. (yes, beer snob)
The macro swill just doesn't do it for me. It taste like piss and isn't any more enjoyable than eating stale bread. If you are hungry, chances are you'll buy something that taste great, even though something that has no taste or taste bad will still fill you up. As far as I'm concerned, the same applies to beer. If you want to get buzzed/drunk, it's important to do it with something that taste great.

No offense, but those are some pretty crappy beers.
The concept of taste is lost on you.Hard liquor is for high schoolers, when you get older you realize how dumb it is.
My favorite expensive beer is Sam Adams, but I normally drink 40 oz. malt liquor.

You have no idea how ironic what you just said is.
Actually it was purposely put there.
Given the fact you can't see past your own opinion even though you ironically made a topic about other peoples opinions...
Don't ask what other peoples tastes are if all you are going to say is "No thats bad"
Thats the entire concept of taste it differs, what tastes bad to you tastes good to everyone else, there is no collective tastebud that makes what you like actually good or bad.
Guinness , Budweiser , Bud Light , Miller , Stella Artois , Bavaria ....
I hate Heinekan with a passion though.The taste makes me sick.
[QUOTE="_EvidencE_"]Schooner.
Yeah, im Canadian. Country of the best beers. Period.
chrisrooR
ever heard of this place?
Instant win.

The beers I was referring to as "crappy" are unarguably some of the most tasteless beers you can find. And they are full of adjuncts. So the concept of taste is lost on anyone who prefers those beers over the much more complex, natural, and tasteful beers that are available. I'm entitled to my opinion, and I stand by it: those were some crappy beers! If you like beer that tastes like water with a slight taste of corn, chemicals, rice, skunk, etc., that's your problem, but it doesn't stop me from stating my opinion.
And it's not just me. Most beer connoisseurs feel the same way about the beers I quoted.
Meh. They all taste the same to me. I'll take whatever really :?Shiggums
If they all taste the same, then you haven't tried very many different styles. For example, you could have had Miller, Bud, Coors, Corona, Fosters, Keystone Light, Natural Light, Busch Light, Becks, Heineken, etc. and they would all taste pretty much the same to someone new to beer. But that is because they are all Macro Pale Lagers.
If you were to try a Belgian Witbier (like Hoegaargen) and then try a Porter (like Anchor Porter) you would notice huge differences in taste.
[QUOTE="Shiggums"]I don't think those types of beers "exist" where I live...EolGul2
Unless you live in Antartica, they probably do
How'd you know? :P No, but seriously, all beer around here is the big name beer from the US. Nothing like "witbier" or "porter" here, trust me :(

I havent heard of the beer your talking about,
Seems like your trying to hype your fav beer and bash others for their favs.
I live in Canada,our most popular beers are Canadian, Corona, Kokanee, Alexander Keith, Lucky Lager, Budweiser, Olde Englishe, Sleemans and others.
You're you're probably right, but I'm not trying to be an ass. Just like the people on this forum bash crappy games and praise great ones, I bash crappy beers and praise great ones.
[QUOTE="Putzwapputzen"]idk, i havent tasted a beer that i really like yet. Mkavanaugh77
You gotta get the developed taste for it, force yourself to drink around 20 or so(not-all in one time of course)
after a while you will appreciate the taste...or not, i did though.
I noticed in your last post that you're from Canada. Have you had the opportunity to try any of these (or any other brew from Unibroue)? The brewery is in Chambly, Canada.
I live on the west coast of canada
I havent seen those before
Mkavanaugh77
No, they are Belgian Style beers. And they aren't for the faint of heart. Their ABV are 10.5%, 9%, 8%, and 9% respectively (compared to 5% for Budweiser). Since I can find all 4 of those here in the Southwest USA, I bet you can get thm on the west coast of Canada :).
