If I had to pick one it's have to be Deep Purple (the Mk II version of Ian Gillan - Vocals, Ritchie Blackmore - Guitar, Jon Lord - Keyboards, Roger Glover - Bass, Ian Paice - Drums), In Rock and Machine Head still sound great some over 40, and nearly 40 years, after release.

You should listen to his first album 'Bastard' it's really good. Then listen to 'Goblin' :D
