Echoes by Pink Floyd. I'd link it, but I don't think YouTube allows people to post 23 minute videos.

You put Hey You as your number 1 song. Can't say I agree with that too much. Personally Starship Trooper by Yes is one of my favorites.

It's not my genre of choice, but I like 'Something about you' by Boston. Anything else from their self-titled album would be a good choice, too.

I'd make a list if "classic rock" was well-defined enough that I could actually be sure what is and isn't included in it.

I consider classic rock as anything from 1965 to 1990 at the latest.

???? That is the range I think of as classic rock. Most of what is released in the 80s is still part of the album oriented rock that so defines classic rock.

As far as my favorite classic rock song:

One of These Days, I'm Going To Cut You Into Little Pieces

Notice I said 1990, nothing about after it. I don't consider Alice in Chains classic rock even though I like them, but AC/DC on the other hand is. I consider Ted Nugent classic rock, but not Godsmack (I have all of their stuff). Metallica even fits the AOR bill though they are predominately heavy metal.

Thrash Metal...until they started making horrible HARD rock albums. :(
