The only true BS moderation I see though is when I got banned for posting a picture of an article that had 1 mention of the site that must not be named. Also my last 6 moderations (dating back over 2 years), have all been notifications with warnings. So I only break the minor rules I guess

There was a guy who's username was Hopeless, i referred to him as hopeless and got moderated for trolling or insulting or something, I got it overturned though.

Also got one reversed were a mod misread my post

I've been modded many times. Not all that much for someone who has been here for over 8 years though. I really feel that most of my moderations were unwarranted. Generally caused by the vague and fascist nature of the rules enforcement here.

I got the general idea that you think I'm wrong. My point has always been that the rules are pretty vague and leave too much to moderator's discretion. Or at least they take the liberty of using their "discretion" a bit too often. My impression has been that a moderation here often depends more on the mood of the mod/admin than on any specific violation of the TOU. I've always felt that it's better to err on the side of leniency than to extrapolate the TOU to mod someone who stepped into a grey area that isn't necessarily a violation by the letter of the law. We're in a chat/discussion forum. There's really no good reason to moderate anyone for anything but a direct and blatant violation of the TOU.. something that requires almost no interpretation.
