Timmy *sniff* Tebow *starts crying* (sorry, thats how I refer to him when I talk about him in real life)

JML897

How did it take until page 3 for someone to say Tebow? He's definitely my pick.

The media love for Favre is nauseating but he's still a (well-deserved) hall-of-famer.

Edit:  At the guy who said Peyton Manning.

I don't like Tebow. But he's not really overrated to be honest. He's not anything until he starts playing. People talking about his potential aren't talking about how good he actually is. Basically everyone understands that his mechanics are garbage and it's going to take a few years for him to learn. Personally, I don't think he can learn and I think he will be a bust in the end. But as of right now, he's not rated as anything.

[QUOTE="frostybanana"][QUOTE="hedden93"]From the QB position, you pretty much do. Give me a winner, I'll give you a guy that puts up stats. Plus how many playoff games has Favre choked away in his career?

hedden93

Not really. Like I said, football is a team sport. Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl. Does that make him better than Dan Marino? Does it make him better than Warren Moon? Or even Steve McNair? Not at all.

Trent Dilfer won a Super Bowl because he had one of the best defenses of all time. Obviously no that doesn't make him better than Dan Marino or Warren Moon but your missing the point. The point I'm making is I define a QB on how he plays in the postseason. Thats what separates the good from the great. Brett Favre has choked away so many postseason games its unbelievable. I want Tom Brady like QB. Do you remember that drive he had at the end of the game against the Rams in the Super Bowl that lead them to the game winnning field goal? Thats the type of QB I want. A QB that executes under pressure and leads his team to championships. Not a QB that constantly chokes away games in the playoffs . . .

Regardless of how you view personally what defines a great quarterback, Dan Fouts, Dan Marino, Warren Moon, Jim Kelly and Fran Tarkenton are all Hall of Fame quarterbacks and have 0 Superbowl wins amongst themselves. That fact cannot be denied.

Great quarterbacks historically are consistently great. Quarterbacks are only one player on a team of 50+, so playoff records can be misconstruing cold hard facts.

Boooooo! Retire you worthless embarassment to the world of sumo! I'm tired of watching guys lose matches to you on purpose just so you don't get demoted and break the hearts of all your clueless fans. You were good, but have some dignity and go.

David Beckham was always overrated. Big_Bad_Sad

United wouldn't of won the treble if it wasn't for beckham. It was at madrid where he fell off and became a celebrity. Even then he was still a decent player.
