[QUOTE="thepwninator"][QUOTE="Ashley_wwe"][QUOTE="thepwninator"] Can you tell I like classical music?

Never heard of any of that music, but it is good to hear that somebody is in to classical music. I don't think I have ever actually seen anybody mention it like that before, really... do you play an Instrument? I am not in to Classical music but it sounds hard to play, and it is quite a talent to be able to play that stuff. By the way, I play the Bass Guitar and play a lot of Pop Punk/Punk, Pop Rock etc. if you are wondering.
EDIT: by the way, I can't believe I forgot about Radiohead... I listen to No Surprises, Fake Plastic Trees and Creep every day at the moment...
I play zero instruments. I just love classical, is all...
Probably part of my anti-social behavior-I tend to dislike hearing people's voices in my music-but I still think that, even without that, the pieces above are nothing short of amazing :)
That's awesome. Yeah, when I think of Classical music I just think things like Pianos, Violins and the like. Hearing voices in them would ruin them because they are known (as far as I am concerned, anyway) for their great instrumentals. I am not forcing you or anything, but I think you should learn the Piano or something, if you love Classical music I am sure you would enjoy it. :)
The dominance of instrumental music is a rather new thing. Prior to the Romantic era, due to the influence of the church due to the patronage system, a lot of composers wrote liturgical stuff, such as Masses. The dominance of vocal music was a lot more strong during the renaissance and middle ages, especially because of the church, since most of the composers when to monasteries for a while. And for a while, there were little instruments, and mostly voices, and when instruments were added, it got to the point where the church banned instruments in their liturgical work. One last factor is, a lot of the instruments weren't readily available at the time.
So vocal music has a lot of important in classical music :)
