What razor's do yall use and products for skin? Shaving is almost a daily thing for me, and it is very important so i do not look like a wolf. I use the FUSION RAZOR battery operated. Before i didnt know anything about shaving and was shaving in the opposite direction of the hair growth, instead of shaving the way the hair grows, which makes it alot better and i havent experienced many cuts. But with the FUSION RAZOR the blades seem to almost be worthless afer 2 shaves, it wears out, and just completely dull. And they cost about 14$ a set of 3 which is crazy to me. I have tried throw away razors and i cannot use them at all, skin very sensitive and irritable when i have tried them. Knowing shaving is essiental to alot of people, it means alot.

how do yall go about your shaving?

I shave once a week. I use the Gillette Fusion and Gillette's shaving cream. I use one for my pubes, and one for my facial hair. Been using them for months now. No problems for me.

I have a Mach 3 razor, sounds the same.. battery powered with the vibrationness that I don't think really adds a lot but I still turn it on anyway. Except it lasts about a month or more for me.

I use Gilette shaving gel (not cream), I get the "ultra comfort" or "sensitive" one, whatever has the aloe vera in it.

I stopped shaving against the grain even though my dad told me too. I get ingrow hairs and more irritation if I shave upwards. I try not to shave every day or my face would be really irritated. I try to let some stubble grow before I shave, or it's just peeling my skin off basically.

BIG TIP: Rinse your face with hot water before you apply lather/cream/gel. Rinse your face with cold water a few times afterwards. Important: LEAVE THE COLD WATER ON YOUR FACE. Don't dry it with a towel or even pat it dry. Just let it evapourate on it's own. This will make your skin more hydrated... or not get dehydrated, I guess.

I used to use aftershave but I stopped entirely years ago. It burns like a mother, and I don't think it really does much except for smell.

Edit: The razor is called M3 (Mach 3) Power. It has a strip to tell you when you need to change it, but I usually get a lot more use out of it even after it's gone.

I use a mach 3 shaver with the disposable shavers. The only area of my skin that's sensitive when I shave is near my chin for some reason. I want to get an electric shaver so if anyone has some good recommendations let me know

There is no such thing. I got like a $350 electric shaver for Christmas one year, and it just gives you like a rugburn on your face that lasts 2 or 3 days. Maybe you get used to it and your skin toughens up, but I didn't want to wait around and see. I just went back to a regular shaver immediately.

I shave everyday, I usually use an electric razor, but my electric doesn't give me a particularly close shave, so I'll shave manually on occasions where I want a better shave. Also, someone should start making ceramic razor blades, they would last a lot longer than steel blades.

No you get used to it. But if you never done it before plese dont use a razor your first time, use a personal trimmer! Or you might be headed to the doctor

Just some cheap three blade manual and Gillette "sensitive skin" foam. I would use electric for ease of use but it messes up my skin.

I also seem have to constantly have to put water on my face while shaving so it stays wet and slick for the blade to glide.

Why dont they make one that kind of squirts water out while shaving? The shower is the best place to shave, but if you do not have a mirror in it it is tricky.

Gillette Mach 3 razors and Gillette gel (shaving cream). I also have an electric razor from phillips that I use to trim it down when it's been a while since I last shaved. And then I always end it with aftershave, "Valentino". I shave every morning before I go out, sometimes skip it if I'm in a hurry... can't say it grows extremely fast on me.

Wow so many people here don't know how to shave properly. You first shave with the grain, then after you shave against the grain, it's important to go over your face more than once in different directions. This is how you get that smooth feeling, shaving only one direction won't accomplish this.

A straight razor is the thing you see in movies when people get shaved at barber shops. You have to make it 100% perfectly sharp or you will rip your face off/slit your neck, and you have to apply the shaving cream with a brush made of hair or something.

Try pull in an armpit hair, or a pubic hair... imagine that pain tenfold, paired with the pain of ripping off a bandaid fast.

I used to use a bladed razor but I had alot of problems with razor burn. Last Christmas I got an electric razor, and it is very nice. No razor burn, and while it isn't quite as close a shave it still does nicely. Plus it's nice to not have to lather up.
