You killed it be proud of yourself.
I tried to crack 2000 but fell short at 1930
29 on ACT.
But I never study for these things.

I hear studying for the SAT doesn't do a whole lot.
Just working on concepts and test-taking skills will help you do better.
1400
In my defense the girl infront of me threw up on my leg mid way in the test so I had to leave to freaking wash vomit off my leg. I just never bothered to retake it
When I first took it, 1590, but I accidentally skipped a section and had to sacrifice time in another section to finish it. My second time I got a 1790. Most people I know did better.
1500 back when it was still out of 1600.
The vocab part bit me in the ass, as I really didn't study too hard on that part. There were a bunch of words that I KNEW I saw in the study list, but totally forgot the meanings during the test.
1260, but it was out of 1600, so that was actually a pretty good score.
I took the ACT as well, got a 23 or somethin
Your scores are similar to mine. You fared very well. I only got a 1940. (1350 for the Math/Reading which most places look at...)

I noticed. To top it off, I didn't much study either. My ACT was a mediocre 26 though. It was a much different test that I wasn't at all prepared for.

I know what you mean, I have a friend who got a 2280 on his SAT but a 25 on his ACT, he said the science was what killed him.[QUOTE="coolbeans90"][QUOTE="Ace_WondersX"] Your scores are similar to mine.Ace_WondersX

Really? Where do you live? Really? Where do you live? Because in Texas, a 1350 Math/Reading will get you into most public universities, except UT and A&MI live in Virginia. The score itself was fine. It's more of a financial issue than an academic one. I plan to transfer to VT once I get my associates degree.
[QUOTE="waffle57"]At my school, a 2250 is considered low. A 2300+ is what most people consider to be passing. I got a 2400 in October though... (please don't kill me)taj7575
Thats an amazing score. Why would anyone be angry lol?

I have quite a few friends who would (jokingly) kill me and take my score if they had the chance I've had people try to convince me to photoshop their name onto a copy of my report card so they could show their parents. Strange idea, since we don't even have the same classes. So on the SAT, there's three sections, each out of 800 Math Reading Writing You get a raw score for each subsection for how many questions you get right, and that score is scaled out of 800 depending on how well everyone does. Then you add up all three subscores to get your score out of 2400Could someone please explain to me how SAT scores work? In England it doesnt quite work that way. We get percetages for our subjects, added together and divided by the amount of subjects you have, then you get your average score, which is also a percentage.

It seems like what you are describing is what in the U.S. is referred to as grade point average, or GPA. It is a major factor when applying to colleges, as is the SAT/ACT. The SAT is a standardized test which college bound students take. There are three subjects that are tested. They are math, critical reading, and writing. They are graded on a scale of 200-800 points out of a potential total of 800 points per section. A perfect score on the SAT would be a 2400. If you fellows in Britain don't have these, consider yourselves lucky. The tests themselves are a PIA four hour test which is mostly multiple choice, aside from a cookie cutter essay, and a few math problems that you actually have to find the answer to. It doesn't do a particularly good job at testing knowledge, nor intelligence. I learned nothing in between taking the tests, although my scores improvedquite significantly in between testings. The ACT is similar to the SAT, but with a different scoring system and science thrown into the mix. It is more common in the western part of the U.S. if I recall correctly.

1320 for the SAT. Do I win? I took it in September. It included Critical Reading, Math, and Writing.
Critical Reading 430
Math 480
Writing 410
1910 on my only time taking it. I wish I would have taken it again after taking another math class. I didn't remember any of the algebra 2 stuff on it and we reviewed all of that at the beginning of precal this year. I got a 29 on the ACT as well. I'm currently awaiting responses from UC Davis, UC Berkeley (not much hope there), UC Santa Barbara, and UC San Diego. I found out today that I got accepted to UC Santa Cruz :D and I got accepted to UC Merced (my backup, backup) last month.
