Now please everyone has a right to an opinion lets have logical intelligent arguements. No BLEEP YOU BLEEP SUCKER THAT MOVIE IS TEH BEST EVERZ YOU IDIOT!" please and thank you- John 1. The DArk Knight- Great special affects good cast but that is about it. I mean it was not a a comic book movie it was another action movie and did not deserve all the hype. Heath played a good psychco but not a good Joker. Two Face looked like crap.... Litterally and could anyone understand Batman? 2. Akira- Good Flick but way to hyped by fans it is not world changing as many say and there are most definetly better animated films 3. Boondock Saints- Sure Williem Dafoe was awsome in it but really its just another generic shoot em up. Just popular because it is Irish. 4. Milk- I really did enjoy this movie but it was not better the Gran Torino I think it just won because well you know. 5 Green Street Hooligans- Really I felt it was the basterd child of Fight Club and The Warriors to me still a good movie but definetly over rated 6. Terminator 2- Now I love Terminator like my own son the only reason T2 is on the list is because the first is way better yer T2 is widely considered the best. 7. Donnie Darko- Really doesnt deserve all the credit it gets felt like it was trying to be a David Lynch Movie. 8. Nightmare Before Christmas- Great Movie but the fact that it is on ever single goth kids clothes makes me sick. 9. American Beauty- Just a good Kevin Spacey movie no more fellow Kevin Spacey fans will know what I mean. 10. The Fast and The Furious Series- Car chases in movies are awsome because they are on the edge of your seat action and the anticipation that at the end of the chase there gonna be an awsome explosion or fight but when the whole movie is that car chase it gets very boring.

I don't know about 10, but I'll pick Gladiator. By no means a bad film but best picture!?!?!? No way. Just a nice looking action flick at best.

1. Scarface - iconic? Yes. Good? No.

2. Nightmare Before Christmas - everything about this film annoyed the hell out of me. Can't stand it.

3. Lost in Translation - found it boring. Didn't care about the characters at all. Though I'll admit its well directed.

4. Akira - a perfect example of a film with flaws that are overlooked simply because it was influential.

5. Every Indiana Jones film - Never liked them for some reason. They bore me.

6. District 9 - no idea why everyone sings the praises of this film. The acting was good but I felt like the film didn't know what it wanted to be. Is it a documentary? A social commentary? An action movie? Who knows... To me, it felt like it was getting pulled in different directions and never settled.

Can't think of any more :P

Gonna say Gone with the Wind. Maybe because I am too young to really give a rat's ass about it. I agree about the Nightmare Before Christmas. I tell people I enjoy that movie and they think I am a goth, which really sucks, because that was a pretty cool movie.

As I have said before I very rarely use the term overrated because I do understand its appeal and for some cases, respect its influence. I am not a big fan of Jean-Luc Godard. and Fight Club has been pretty annoying when it comes to my friends. Also Donnie Darko.

Imma go ahead and say "Boondock Saints." I didnt even like defoe in that movie, although I can't see why anyone would think "American Beauty" is overrated.

Boondock saints Clockwork orange seven american history x Ok, they are very good movies, minus boondock saints, but they aren't the holy grail of films. I am sick of the kids who post these as their favorite movies, as some sort of a fad. Boondock Saints is a masterpiece? Try watching Lawrence of Arabia.

I can only think of two, and they're Forest Gump and Wall-E. Wall-E wasn't bad but I thought it was kind of boring. The first half of the film was just the robot collecting trash, and there wasn't much dialogue until the second half.

I resent claims that The Godfather, Part 2 and 2001 are all overrated. :x Wall-E - second half of the movie wasn't very good. The Dark Knight - it's an excellent movie and only makes the list because of the excessive amount of praise it receives. The Day The Earth Stood Still (original) - didn't enjoy it at all. Didn't provoke my interest enough. Nightmare on Elm Street. - Lauded as one of the best horror movies ever. Ha, no. Can't think of any more.

Honestly, I almost fell asleep watching. Maybe my expectations were too high. But seriously, the movie didn't have a single exciting part. It was basically a glorified soap opera with mobsters. And yes, 2001 was horrid. Slowest movie in existence.

overrated?

Yeah seriously.... Gonna have to do some explaining for that one.. The only one I can think of this year would have to be Star Trek.. The movie should have not gotten any where near the rattings it got.. It had little to no real story line, it was riddled with cliche plot elements.. The only acting I enjoyed of the movie was that of Bones.

I cant think of most overrated right now, but recently I would pick Gran Torino, and Zombieland. Gran Torino was average at best, Clint was good in it but the story was ridiculously cheesy and predictable, the acting was awful, and overall it felt almost like a Lifetime original movie that just happened to have Clint Eastwood in it. Zombieland was fun, but aside from Woodly Harrelson and the camea it was pretty average. For a movie called Zombieland there were not many good zombie scenes, and every other character apart from Woody was boring to me. I have said it before but I will say it again, Dead Snow, and Pontypool>>>>>>>>>>>Zombieland.

I agree, aside from the battle scenes I didnt think it was that good. Stalingrad had better battle scenes anyway. There are tons of better war films like Cross of Iron for example.

Some More for ya 1. Caligula- Ok, Ok enough with the gay sex and orgies this isnt how you make a movie good this is just how you get a cult following. 2. Cannibal Holocaust- Cool it is really gory that does not change the fact that all your actors or porn stars and your budget is under 100,000. Not to mention you killed a turtle for no reason 3. Ichi The Killer- This movie was way to much for me I rember watching it with my friends we were like other than Kakihara this movie sucks. Good for a WTF moment 4. Edward Scissorhands- Good movie but not as good as everyone says and definetly not Burton's best. 5. Saw- People getting tortured for 2 hours.... boring 6. Twighlight- The acting was decent but I could barelly hear anything they were saying and the choreography was off too, I have not been bit by the Twighlight love bug so I guess I will never understand. 7. Dude, Where's My Car?- I just can not find this funny maybe I just ned to start smoking weed but I do not know why it is so popular. 8. Jaws- A great movie one of my favorites but when people say it is the scariest movie ever that is a little off. 9.Interview With A Vampire- Pretty big snooze fest 10. Boogie Nights- Good Movie Mark Whalberg is still a D-Bag though

1 being the worst, and 10 being the least worse.

1.) Transformers 2 - If you've seen it, you know what I'm talking about.

2.) The Pink Panther 2 - Watch the movie and see for yourself.

3.) Agent Cody Banks - Frankie Muniz impersonating James Bond. Really?

4.) The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy - Funny, but has a story. Comedies aren't suppose to have long stories.

5.) Rambo (2008 version) - It'll never be as good as the original.

6.) RV - I honestly thought that this would be a better movie. Comedy isn't even that great.

7.) Signs - With such a great trailer, I thought I'd see more.

8.) Open Season 2 - One of the worse movies ever made. DVD release of course.

9.) Speed Racer - I was hoping a free seizure didn't come with the movie.

10.) Fast And Furious 3: Tokyo Drift - Eh, wasn't as good as the first two.

funnyhow every movie i love is on everyone's list :P

if i have to pick i would say juno and scanners.

juno because of all the hipsters who proclaim it the greatest movie ever.

i rented scanners afew weeks ago to see if it really is as great amovie as everyone says it is (plus me being horror fan) andi love videodrome and the fly, but i just found that movie so boring, the beging was excllent but after 20 min i got extreamly tired and bored. the ending however was brilliant.

1. The Dark Knight: Terrible ending, Two Face was useless, it was just kind of inept in that sense and a lot of the acting was awful... 2. Fight Club: It's a really good movie but it's not the godsend teens make it out to be 3. Gladiator: Best picture my ass

  • Million Dollar Baby - Cliched filled melodrama.
  • Pulp Fiction - Mildly entertaining with some good dialogue, but no where near being a masterpiece.
  • The 400 Blows - I like it a lot, but I don't find it to be as great as most say.
  • Collateral - Highly unrealistic film. Only positive quality is Tom Cruise's performance.

Just a random bunch of films that I think are overrated.

It baffles me how much praise it gets. Out of the two films Clint made that year, Changeling is better in every way. It baffles me how much praise Gran Torino gets, that kid Thao in particular was painfully awful. Especially when he was yelling "WALT!" when he was trapped behind the door.

1. The Dark Knight: Terrible ending, Two Face was useless, it was just kind of inept in that sense and a lot of the acting was awful... 2. Fight Club: It's a really good movie but it's not the godsend teens make it out to be 3. Gladiator: Best picture my assToriko42

I have not seen your ass, and I am sure many haven't so saying it is best picture does not make sense. I however would nominate it.

It baffles me how much praise it gets. Out of the two films Clint made that year, Changeling is better in every way. It baffles me how much praise Gran Torino gets, that kid Thao in particular was painfully awful. Especially when he was yelling "WALT!" when he was trapped behind the door.

I agree that Changeling is the better film. It's insanely ridiculous that Gran Torino gets so much praise around here. Everyone in the film was terrible, with the exception of Eastwood, who was just good.

Overrated movies. Not bad movies...
