Your thoughts on MTV?

If it wasn't for the return of new episodes of Beavis and Butt-head, I'd probably avoid the channel all over again.

I watch True Life, but not on MTV - The channel, but MTV.com.

The name of the channel should be changed form Music Television to Media Telivision.

I don't get it anymore, and I've glad. Once The Real World really took off, they abandoned music.

Don't watch it outside of the VMAs and Movie Awards. I am interested in the new Punk'd episodes coming later this month but that's about it.

i remember growing up when they actually played music videos on mtv and vh1...yeah...dont watch it anymore...tho the last time i was chillin at my bros he had mtv on one saturday and there was the top 100 or something like that...was impressed that nearly everything sounded the same...go figure...

It stands for Music Television like TLC stands for "the learning channel"

Its garbage. You won't catch me saying a single good thing about that channel. Commedy Central is just about the only good channel of the thousand or so available (besides news channels that air some pretty awesome shows).

MTV isn't even a music network anymore, it's more of a brand name than anything else. They had its 30 year anyversary back in 2010, but the network made no mention of it whatsoever. In an interview, one of the execs chose not to in order not to look like an old network.
