I could go on until you are bored to tears. :P Short version the movie had no idea what it wanted to do, so it tried to mash an action movie and drama into one giant hodge podge nonsense. I find it hard to get emotional about that baby truce scene when not 10 minutes ago Clive Owen was smacking someone with a large hunk of metal in well-choreographed grace. Also I hate the giant leap of no more babies=totalitarian faceless bad guys.

Good for you. I don't know how someone can like that craptastic Dark Knight movie, but hey, opinions are opinions I guess.

I think you're getting a little confused here. If the topic was "Best movie of all time" and he wrote that, I could understand your point, but the topic "YOUR top 5 films" kinda alters it to his personal opinion. Therefore, he's not wrong now, is he?

No one is necessarily wrong when it comes to media and art, I just found Children of Men awful and he wanted to know why. It's not like I think he is less of a person.

;) I bet deep down that's how you feel about him.

I could care less how some random person on an internet forum feels about me. I'm not one of those tards who cares about being popular on a website.

The 220 minute version?

I don't know, it came on TV a while ago. It was very long, definitely over 3 hours. Really enjoyed the film, much better than Once Upon A Time In The West IMO, I think that's very overrated. One of Leone's other westerns, The Good, The Bad, The Ugly is the best western IMO.

Chances are the version you watched on TV was the infamous American version. It would easily break the 3 hour mark on TV as the American version is about 2 hours and 20 minutes. But compared to the one that screened in Europe, the American version has been labeled as a very poor film as it cuts out a lot of parts that were vital in the picture, and it was completely against Leone's wishes.

If you can get your hands on the 3 hour and 40 minute version, do so. Seeing as you liked the version you already seen, you'll likely really love this one. But then again maybe you already seen it, I just never see the Euro version of the film on TV.
