Smashed to bits and removed...all of them, and one was around a nerve in my jaw.

my dentist looked at them and said it was a rare case where they didn't need to be removed, they aren't discomforting me at all.

They're all in there and I can feel them breaking through the gums on the top. It sometimes becomes sore and I see the dentist at the end of March, so I'll see what he says about them.

I had mine pulled

That's the freakiest noise when they break the roots of em. Plus my bottom ones were dug in so deep, I thought he was gunna pull my jaw off. Oh yeah, he kept having to give me more shots, cause I kept feeling the nerve on my bottom ones. But hey, i got to get a bottle of Hydrocodone from it. :P

They put me to sleep, it was nice considering I hate surgery and surgical instruments. I got a lot of vicodin.

I had five wisdom teeth pulled (two of which were impacted) in about one hour. I was unconscious so I don't remember anything (although my teeth were sore for about a week)!

All pulled out in one visit.
The actual procedure was a blur seeing as I was on the laughing gas (great stuff btw). And the whole weekend I was not a happy person, at all. Got dry socket in my lower ones.

Like that other guy said. I got put to sleep then they busted them up and took 'em out. Then I came home and made the mistake of watching Akira while high on painkillers. That was a trip.

I think I need to get my molars pulled out, at least I'm sure that's what they are. Because there are no adult teeth under them, so they are like "let's rip em out and put fake ones in!"

Haha reminds me of when I got my teeth removed for braces - you usually just get injections straight into your gums but I complained so mum took me to a hospital and I got this injection in my hand and can't remember a thing. I felt drunk for the rest of the day and my face felt massive! I remember going to the library to go on the computers (we didn't have the internet back then) and I couldn't speak at all :P Mum's got a wonderful photo of me high off my face with cotton wool stuffed in my mouth sticking 2 fingers up :P Oh and I remember coming round and she said I wasn't allowed to talk and that's all I could do. "Have they done it yet?" I asked loads of times :P When should wisdom teeth start appearing? I'm 17 :|

Gotta luv the gas. My dentist started giving me laughing gas when I got my 6 month cleanings. Ahhhhhhhhh, the simple pleasures of getting to skip school and take laughing gas. Those were the days.............

They're gone. I went 3 times to get all 4 done. The first 2 times I had only one taken out, and was awake both times. The very first time I think the tooth was in good condition when they took it out because that was the only time they asked me if I wanted to keep it. I didnt take it though.

I have four, but I have a big mouth so they aren't really in the way. They're a bit difficult to clean, but don't cause me pain or anything.

Had to have them cut out. It was kinda crappy and hurt a lot. But only the next day for a few days after. Cuz right after the surgery, I don't remember the drive home. I just remember the doctor counting 100-99-98..boom, next thing you know I wake up from what felt like a split second later, had to helped up and I was as high as a kite lol I felt the best and highest I've ever felt in my life.

o also I remember I rented a game before cuz I had to stay home for awhile and I played later on the same day as the surgery. Got on the next day and didn't rememeber how I got to where I was in the game. Forgot what happened, how I got the new stuff, and had no idea where to go next lol

Well, I have one on the top-right set of teeth, and it didn't hurt at all. I can kind of feel the rest coming (when I poke around the gums) but I don't feel any pain.

Yeah, it is becoming more common. As my college professor explained it's a part of evolution. Since our species haven't needed those teeth in hundred to thousands of years recent generations have actually stopped growing them and it's been shown that it's actually being removed from our DNA.

Like for me, I only grew 3. The doctors also say many children as of this generation won't even have to worry about it because less and less people are actually growing those unnecessary teeth.

I'm almost 16 and I don't have wisdom teeth. The dentist says their is no room in my mouth for them to grow in so they won't be growing in any time soon I guess.

If there isn't any room for them, they'll make their own room. Hopefully, your dentist will keep his/her eyes on whether or not your teeth starting crowded, which is usually an indicator.

Where is the option to say "they are sitting comfortably at the back of my mouth"? Is it not feasible that wisdom teeth can be kept any more?
