YouTube advertisements is getting out of hand...

yes i understand that without all the advertising, we would have to pay for youtube....but still it gets really annoying when you're trying to read subtitles or something and those dumb lil adverts keep popping up in front of them. or when you're trying to watch a relaxing nature video and then all of a sudden some advertisement pops up out of nowhere in the middle of the video and ruins the mood =(

I just watched a 30 second ad that I couldn't skip for a video that was less than 2 minutes long so I agree. We can't really do anything about it though.

I miss the days when F5 would do the trick.

It is annoying. I remember when youtube didn't have any adds and normal people were making videos and those videos got popular. Now youtube is flooded with adds and the popular videos are either made by a youtube partner or a celebrity.

Firefox + Adblock+ gets rid of all your ad problems.

Really? You got a virus from Adblock Plus? The most popular browser plugin in the world? With 13million users in Firefox alone?

Sometimes they play ads even after you've streamed the whole video, like if you switch to or from full screen mode.

Yeah Adblock Plus works wonders. Unfortunatly it only works best with Firefox. The one for Chrome isn't as good, and other simular aps for other browsers don't block as many ads, if any. But I've went to Youtube and other websites without ABP and the ads definetly do get in the way, and on sites like Justin.tv a banner ad appears like every 30 seconds at the bottom of the video.

If it was the real Adblock it would be quite the contrary actually. Adblock can actually prevent viruses/malware/spam. Alot of viruses/malware are delivered via flash adverts or popups and Adblock can prevent those from going through.

You definitely didn't get the real version of Adblock if you ended up getting a virus. I've had nothing but a pleasent experience with it, the key is to just dl it via the official Mozilla page for Firefox or the official google webstore for Chrome.

I'm sorry but I am amazed that people still have not heard of or use adblock I havent seen an ad for a while

I say it in every thread about ads and I'll say it again.

imagine Rainbow Six Vegas. Your about to go into a Chinese inspired Casino tobust a cap in some terrorist butt when In the Horizon you don't see other casinos, you see three really big Axe Billboards with Hot Girls on them. kinda defeats the purpose...

Adblock should fix it, but alot of people don't have it so it's impossible for someone to get rick roll'd these days. :x
