[QUOTE="trubluah"][QUOTE="Theokhoth"][QUOTE="trubluah"]DUDE I said it earlier, Microsoft's technician could have easily misinterperated the virus as a youtube virus. He's working remotely and it's possible that he didn't get ALL facts about the virus or your computer.
You could have easily downloaded something that disguises itself as something else. What was this technicians method of 'removing' the virus from your computer?
Theokhoth
I don't know how he did it. I told him what happened, gave him a few minutes, and he said he was done. What else could it have been? I only use this and one other website, neither of which have ever given me or anyone else any problems with viruses, and then there's YouTube.
Dude, that says it all right there and adds no credibility to microsoft, no matter how much gold beams you shine on their technicians. You pretty much spoke with their tier 1 technician, who obviously worked off their actual technician notes to help you. Knowing that he remoted into your machine, you probably couldn't see what he was doing. So he could've just easily cleared your cookies and cache, and make it look like he's some guru in technology. Sorry, I don't buy the whole bit...
If you really admire your computer, you better call back microsoft and ask them to look up the technician notes to see what EXACTLY he did to your computer, cause you have a right to know first off what he did, cause you don't even know what he's doing.
Plus what were the symptoms of your computer when you were experiencing the problem anyways?
Whatever. Dismiss it all based on some conspiracy theory.
The computer was downloading some kind of spyware on its own faster than I could delete it. It made the computer move to a crawl.
I thought you didn't know how to remove spyware..?
