YouTubes New Design

I would have to say it is terrible. You tube was and always beabout the user and they totaly take away the ability to full intergrate threw out the website. I hive it a 3 1/2,

I can't even remember the old design now.

I completely dispise the new layout, the comment section is the worst, I used to love posting and reading them, but now you have to highlight them just to see when it was posted.

Changing something that didn't even need to be changed, bad idea. They should take a leap out of IMDB, that hasn't changed in years because it doesn't have to.

you go to save and you get a drop down menu, then when you click save it will be like halfway down the list of the rest of your favorites

It's not good at all.

YouTube executive: You know what we need to do? We need ignore the fact that the YouTube player is still very glitchy and focus on wasting our efforts on things we only think that the people want, like a new channel design that sucks. Or maybe we could even redesign the whole website so that it's clunky and a chore just to use. And let's make it so the inbox isn't already on the page before you click anything. After all, who doesn't want to possibly go days before realizing you have new mail?

I prefer it over the old one; much cleaner, intuitive and doesn't look as amateurish. YouTube always had a terrible design, this is a step in the right way.Neon-Tiger

I don't think a 5 years old service needed an "intuitive" overhaul that also requires more clicks than before.

I don't understand why they felt the need to change it. I'll get used to it, but there was nothing wrong with the old design from my point of view. It's like they changed it just for the sake of changing it.

I hate the new lay-out. I have a channel and youtube's gone from bad to worse in the last couple of months.
It now takes ages to check the statistics of my videos. It's full of bugs (my channel lists all of my videos twice. God knows why.)
The new comment section is a mess. People are less inclined to comment when they have trouble finding out how
and who their commenting on. You don't see star ratings in search result anymore. The star system wasn't perfect. Most people
either clicked on 1 or 5 on stars but at least you could quickly survey search results.

Just my luck. I had some free time last week and decided to make a new video. It's live for three or four days now. 1700 visitors...
I used to have a couple of thousand visitors in the first few days plus a lot more ratings.

Ah well, the times they are a-changin'. It's feels mighty good to blow of some steam though. Thanks for that TC!

Yeah it is terrible. I didn't know where anything was, and why change the 5 star system to Like/Dislike?
