I bet you're a blast at parties.
 LMAO post of the day aboveI'm amazed at the number of people who would embrace an unpaid position like "GS moderator", especially when it would be aggrevating and unrewarding.
[QUOTE="MushroomWig"][QUOTE="trastamad03"]Destroy the forums so we get a new better proper forum... at the cost of my ban... that's how much I love you guys.trastamad03There's nothing wrong with the forums. Links don't work properly Edit destroys your formatting Quoting results in a lot of "misformed HTML" No proper signature restriction (hence those annoyingly giant signatures from some users) the list goes on. Of course there are signature restrictions, you just don't like the current rules.
What makes you think people who have been banned would even come back to check? Now with all the recent banned users, I'd unban a few.

These threads make me laugh. How would someone who has never been a part of the team even know how to ban--or even better--reverse a moderation, huh? You are mistakenly made a mod or staff yet you all of a sudden know how to work everything too? Not gonna buy it...sorry!
mmmwksil
I guess one of the first requirements to becoming a mod is to turn in your sense of humor and fun
Let us have our make-believe threads. Gives us something to do.
On the contrary, I was just bringing in a dose of reality for a second.

I dont know about unrewarding. Half of the user reviews I see crack me up. There was one this morning that was just the word "DERP" over and over. My favorite user review was just, "ME HATE GAME. TASTES TERRIBLE. NEED SALT." and nothing else. Almost felt bad moderating that.I'm amazed at the number of people who would embrace an unpaid position like "GS moderator", especially when it would be aggrevating and unrewarding.

I have to say, having been a network administrator for IRC in my youth, I think people here would be shocked at the speed with which power becomes responsiblity. In my experience, banning people: 1.) Causes uproar 2.) Causes them to come back on proxies 3.) Is just unpleasant 4.) Becomes one in an endless chain of moderations If the thread posed what you would do given ultimate power over something, maybe it would be fun. Becoming a mod or admin however is just... a nightmare IMO. An absolute nightmare, and part of the path to eventual burn-out.I have to say, having been a network administrator for IRC in my youth, I think people here would be shocked at the speed with which power becomes responsiblity. You nailed it and I wish I could end this with "at least I get paid for it" but alas I can't. I'm just a volunteer.

Well, I may not always be a fan of Gamespot's policies or practices, but I do respect the volunteers who keep it in order. Just remember that when the time comes to stop, don't go over that line and burn out.:o Everyone knows that there is a big red "BAN USER" button next to each post, it's quite a simple systemThese threads make me laugh. I feel cheated out of a ban :cry:I'd snoop about for some details in my own mod history and then let someone know about the mistake once I was done.

Nah, it's not like an IRC @Ps channel... it's dry.Frame_DraggerI'm not really sure what you think I'd expect to find there but I'm pretty sure whatever it is it's not what I'd actually be looking at there if I had the chance.
