2011: Let the RPG War Begin!

Off of that list the only thing that even slightly interests me is The Witcher 2. What a terrible time it is to be a RPG fan but from the looks of it, it might be an okay time for action-adventure and Final Fantasy fans.

Hopefully, Dead State will come out in 2011 and it will actually be (*gasp*) a good RPG.

Mass Effect 3 will in the RPG war hands down. But I will buy about 90% of the games on your list.

Mass Effect 3, Dragon Age 2 and The Witcher 2. The only RPGs I'm going to need in 2011. Everything else is just the icing on an already delicious cake.

I don't really care which games sells more - it's going to be a great year for rpgs either way.

• Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning (written by R.A. Salvatore, designed by Ken Rolston - Morrowind - and art-directed by Todd McFarlane)
• Dungeon Siege III (Obsidian action-RPG)
• Torchlight II (sequel to one of the best Diablo clones)
• Grim Dawn (from the makers of Titan Quest)
• The Age of Decadence (a turn-based cRPG inspired by Fallout)
• Dead State (a turn-based cRPG with zombies from some of the ex-Troika devs)
• Inquisitor (a czech 2D RPG)
• Avadon: The Black Fortress (a Dragon Age like RPG from Spiderweb, known for their Avernum and Geneforge series)
• E.Y.E. (a source-engine RPG+FPS inspired by Deus Ex)
• Grimoire (an old-school party-based dungeon-crawler)

The Witcher was a fantastic game, I hope the sequel will be on the same standard
