Drop the ram down to this if you're not planning on overclocking:http://www.pccasegear.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=186_218_1125&products_id=11913
Still corsair with same timings and speed (just doesnt have those massive heatsinks that you see on the dominators) will just save you $150 for use on a better graphics card set-up.
So instead of the 2xGTX 460s pick up 2x5870s or 2xGTX 480s if you want to push it closer to $3000. Word of warning with PC Case gear, make sure you are home to collect the delivery or drive to their warehouse to pick it up! I missed my delivery by 10minutes and had to drive to the melbourne airport to collect my order (not my local post office).
If i don't intend on overclocking, do I still need a liquid cooling system? or are fans fine? And with overclocking ive been told that it shortens the life of the computer and its parts, is this true? Thanks :)averagegaamer
Fans are fine, and it does reduce the lifespan, but no-one really cares, in 3-4yrs time, that computer will be a piece of junk.
