32-bit vs 64-bit , vista or 7 ?

hy every one i have installed 4 giga ram 800 (2x2 giga ) to m machine ,

i want to know which system will give me best performance formy pc in general and for games ,

my speci :

celeron D 331 LGA 775 2.66 o'cld @ 3.95 ghz single core

4 giga (2 x 2 giga ram 800 Mhz kingstone)

geforce 8400 gs 512 M

, and one more thing :

i know that my vcard and cpu extreme week so dont tell me that :)

and thanks for help .......

If I were you I would go with Windows 7. I am using it right now and everything works fine for it. It even updates and downloads drivers for you.

well you have a dual core (Celeron D?) the D means Dual core. so even if you were to use vista you wouldent really have a problem

Actually it is a Celeron D. Celeron D was the name given to the celeron's that were crippled Pentium 4's. I would only advise XP with that rig, unless you plan on a overhaul, that CPU and GPU will struggle.

Actually it is a Celeron D. Celeron D was the name given to the celeron's that were crippled Pentium 4's. I would only advise XP with that rig, unless you plan on a overhaul, that CPU and GPU will struggle.

my bad...... i just searched google and i thought that they were like the Pentium D's Guess not. Yeah with that setup i would only run windows XP. even if youre processor is 3.9GHz it probbly wouldent run to well.

celeron d = pentium 4 based celeron with intel's trick marketing.

how can i make ram work at dual channle

you motherboard has to support it, if you have 4 stick of ram and 4 ram slots it should automatically run dual channel.

Whichever game that runs on Vista runs on 7(Well thats how it has been for me).
