I've been building and upgrading my own PC's for a long time. Ever since I can remember 3DMark was a great tool to compare your PC to others around the world. Haven't used it in a while, as I haven't upgraded in a while.
So I upgraded my PC this weekend to a 1TB 7200rpm hard drive, Phenom X2 550, 4GB of DDR2 1066. I already had a 8800 GTX. According to 3dMark my system ranks way lower than the "Common System". What?? So I check out this "common system" which features a $300 cpu and a $500 video card. Oh really futuremark? Oh, and did I mention the links next to it where you could buy it now? I could not view any other systems comparable to mine like you use to be able to. All about the money now, making you think your system sucks so you buy stuff through them. You suck futuremark.
So now that my rant is over, any real benchmark sites out there where people can use it and load up their systems for comparison like 3dmark used to be?
Thanks.
