i brought a new PC : E8500 , 4870X2 , ASUS P5Q DELUXE , 4GB CORSAIR XMS2 4-4-4-12 , ENERMAX MODU+ 625W , OS VISTA 64 BIT SP1 .

the problem is i cant enter any game (at least what i tryed) COD4 , CRYSIS , UT3 , G.R.I.D it seem to have INFANITE LOOP after the loading in some games or after all the movie playbacks !

i try the drivers in my cd + the new catalyst 8.8 beta cause i read somewhere that its might solve the problem but appearently its not . so any one have idea what this problem is about cause the OS operates normally!

Do you have the CD drivers AND the 8.8 drivers installed at the same time?

You do realize that the HD4870x2 consumes about 400w+ at load right? 625w is like skating on thin ice.

lol 620 VERY low for that beast monster.

dude its a 4870X2....the card eats power like crazy.

suggest you get 720 MIN, anything less than 720 WILL NOT MAKE IT WORK PROPERLY.

Good like trying to tame the beast!

It can't consume more than 300W: 75W (pci-e slot) + 75W (6 pin) + 150W (8 pin). Remove the drivers and install 8.7.

You have enough PSU power, I'm running a 4870X2 on a 600W OCZ GameXstream something else is wrong.

maybe you should use driver cleaner pro to uninstall your ati drivers and whats left of your nvida drivers(if you had a nvidia card before your current one) and try reinstalling the drivers again. Also check to see you connected the power cables properly.

The HD4870x2 consumes about 300w, a entire system with the 4870x2 consumes about 400w.

yeah i doubt it all about wattage to be honest it more like Driver or the System os that gone a Bit rogue with registry messed up
i hope for you ti Driver cause else you may have to see if your vista is enough clean or something... if it the wattage
then that a new one never tough that if the system overall consume much less then psu and the psu not enough big it would do such result also make sure ur C:/ Drive if you do partion of ur hard Drive as enough memory for Requirement they say if they ask like 8GB Free on C:/ then do so.
